I had multiple consultations and I knew as soon as I met with Dr Wagner and his staff that this was the place for me. Dr Wagner is honest and does everything he can to achieve your end goal. His office staff is very responsive and makes you feel comfortable!
This will be my first surgery ever. I’ve had 6 pregnancies, 4 babies (oldest is 10 and youngest is almost 1). My breasts are simply deflated. They’ve lost almost all their volume. I decided once I was done having babies I would do this for myself :) I am barely a 32A. I decided on the 355cc moderate plus silicone implants placed above the muscle. Today I toured the surgical center as I am nervous about my first surgery. They were super helpful and reassuring. I’m less nervous now. I highly recommend touring the surgical center if you have some nerves going into this. See you after surgery! Updated on 2 Apr 2025: Surgery went well. It was less scary than I was anticipating. I was pretty nauseous after the anesthesia and just slept most of the day after. The pressure and soreness feels rather like when your milk first comes in. Not too horrible. Movement can make it more intense but then it goes away. Things have been very smooth in terms of recovery. Had the post op appointment today. Things are softening up and dropping. Massages started today. Updated on 28 Apr 2025: Things are finally feeling back to normal. Less breast tenderness. Mobility back to normal. I’m picking up my toddler again. My left breast is slightly lower and squishier than my right. This is normal so I shall wait for the right to catch up :) I finally took my steri strips off since they didn’t fall off on their own. I used alcohol as it is a good adhesive remover. No pain with removing. Scars look good to me. I’m using castor oil packs each night to help with healing.
Above & Beyond…… 5 Stars is what comes to mind when I think of Dr Wagner & his team. My experience couldn’t have been better. They took their time at my consultation- Never rushed me out the door at any visit. They answered all my questions without hesitation, made me feel comfortable & confident with implant selection. The surgery was smooth & easy. Recovery & the pain after was minimal. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of plastic surgery or has the slight interest reach out to Dr Wagner. You won’t be disappointed & your experience will be the best.
Absolutely love dr Wagner and his team! They were all very helpful with doing my breast augmentation and did such an amazing job! I would recommend dr wagner to anyone who is in need of any type of breast augmentation.
I am very pleased with my whole experience and results with Dr. Wagner and his team! Dr. Wagner was my 3rd consultation for a breast augmentation and I knew right away that he was exactly what I was looking for. It was a 2 hour drive for me each way to go to the office and surgery, but I felt it was completely worth it for the top notch service I was given.
Dr. Wagner spent more time with me, discussing options, than any other consult. His staff are all welcoming and friendly. Communication is timely. I felt I was adequately prepared for the procedure and expectations. The results are pretty amazing!
I had consultations with multiple doctors and felt that Dr Wagner was the most honest and realistic about possible results and risks of lipo. He is very direct and to the point, which may come off as unfriendly to some people, but I prefer my surgeon to be focused on results rather than friendliness. His staff makes up for it and then some by being super sweet. I found it very easy to book and pay for my appointment and there were zero surprises. I also felt that Dr Wagner prepared me very well for the struggles of recovery and made me very aware of limits and potential complications. The surgery itself went great. Day of staff at the surgical center were delightful. Aftercare and follow up instructions were clear. Recovery was easier than any of my friends who have had lipo. I had barely any bruises and minimal swelling. Even my lymphatic drainage massage therapist said she couldn't believe how little trauma my body had. I was able to see basically full results after a month and a half. My scars are tiny and fading great with silicone bandages. The results are very natural. No lumps or weird scar tissue (I did incredibly thorough aftercare which helped I'm sure). It doesn't look like I've had surgery other than the tiny scars. It just looks like I slimmed down in a way I never could with diet and exercise due to stubborn middle aged lady fat in my middle and thighs. I'd definitely go back to Dr Wagner for future surgeries!
My case was a tricky one. My right breast was just a tad droopy and the nipple placement was good. My right one was very droopy and the nipple pointed out. I wanted my nipples to be equal and modest size implants to bring everyrhing up and perky. Dr Wagner understood the assignment. He gave me a lift only on my left breast and I had a 280 gel implant on that breast. My right breast got only a 340 implant. My results just after 4 weeks are simply amazing. Thank you Dr Wagner!
Clif Notes version- Message me for any specific details but I just have to sing the praises of my doctor, his staff and everyone at the surgery center. My Stats- 37 yo, 5’5”, 145 lbs, one pregnancy; Pre-Baby I was a perky 34B; Post-Baby I had two deflated balloons with one slightly larger than the other; BA- silicone 485cc and 520cc under the muscle My experience was great. Dr. Wagner is kind, professional and listened to my goals. I felt like he gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision. He gave me recommendations that helped me meet my goals. Dr. Wagner’s staff was friendly and helpful, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Kara, his surgical coordinator, specifically. I met with her initially and she listened to my goals, encouraged me to go for what I wanted, answered all my questions, and let me try on all the sizes I wanted. She was kind, supportive and just great! The surgery staff members were all welcoming and reassuring. My surgery went smoothly and recovery was as expected. I was really careful to take it easy and not do too much with my upper body. I’m 6 weeks post-op now and the girls look great. I can’t wait to go bra shopping!
So I'm a bigger woman...43, 5'10 and 220 lbs roughly and have always wanted implants since I can remember. I have looked for women similiar to my build for results and just didn't see them. Today is day 1 post op as yesterday was procedure day. I went from a flat and deflated b/c cup to 590 cc silicone dual plane. I may need a lift in the future but Dr. Wagner wanted to wait because I was going so large. I first thought of 650 cc but was afraid of going too big. I can't wait to see the final result. Today I'm sore, tops of my breasts are rock hard, and had a rough time sleeping in the chair. It's all better than I thought it would be though! Will get pics and update as well. I will be doing a tummy tuck next year
Drains are used in surgery to evacuate blood and serum from the surgical space where tissue was removed, which helps protect the incision from pressure arising from underneath, as well as aids in smooth adherence of the tissues to heal the space closed in a predictable and smooth manner. Drains are not always necessary, but they help prevent he need for multiple trips to the doctor to drain seromas that may accumulate and prolong recovery, or even become infected. Many surgeons use drains for moderate or larger gynecomastia procedures. I have never seen a significant problem arising from use of a drain in gynecomastia, but have seen many problems that could have been prevented by using a drain. Therefore, I tend to use drains in most significant gynecomastia procedures.
Based upon your pictures, you have an element of the tuberous breast shape, however it is not particularly constricted or severe. Shape correction is possible and depends on your size desires. If you like your current size, you would get a decent shape with a mastopexy alone. However, I believe your best result may be a combination of implant and mastopexy, as a combined or staged procedure. This is preferable to fat grafting in your case.
It is not possible to be sure without any photos or examination, but I wonder if you may be developing a capsular contracture. This often looks like a rounder, firmer breast that looks higher than the other side. This is not serious, and can be easily revised to restore your softness and symmetry. I advise you seek consultation with an experienced board certified surgeon with experience in revisional implant surgery.
Based upon your description and photos, I believe you have a pretty nice result with respect to your mastopexy. You may benefit from larger (and/or wider) implants with possible pocket revision to achieve your goals of upper breast fullness. If your surgeon is not comfortable, it is certainly within their right to decline to do any operation they are not comfortable with. However, it is also within your right to seek additional opinions. I am fairly sure your result can be modified to achieve your stated goals.
Your pictures show a wound dehiscence at the inframammary trifurcation, which is a common complication of mastopexy. It is usually minor and will heal in within a few weeks with conservative care. I do not think you have an infection, but you should discuss with your plastic surgeon.
