I got a breast aug 10 weeks ago. 425 and 450 moderate plus over the muscle. I️ was told that the right breast socket was a smaller which is why they did one bigger. I also went over muscle because he said I was set far apart. Now I have bad rippling in the breast with the smaller socket/bigger implant. I also Have some stretch marks in that breast. Both breast still don’t have much feeling especially the nipples. Is there a chance this could go away when it settles? The doc told me..
Answer: Rippling after augmentation Thank you for your question. Given how thin you are, rippling is to be expected with implants over the muscle, and is unlikely to improve with time. Your right implant pocket looks like it is a bit over-dissected, allowing the implant to move closer to the midline, where the tissue is even thinner, hence the rippling. Fat grafting can sometimes improve this, but has it's own challenges. As for sensation, it can take 18 months for full recovery, but you may be left with areas of residual numbness. Hope this helps.

Answer: Options to correct rippling The rippling is in the area that would be covered by the muscle, but there are other things to consider:Is the diameter appropriate for the width of your breasts? Sometimes implants that are too wide will place pressure on the skin causing thinning and more visibility of the implants. A high cohesivity implant such as Allergan Soft Touch may ripple less.Implant size: Larger implants are more likely to show rippling especially in thin women. When the implants settle, the rippling in the upper inner part may improve a little but you will probably see more on the bottom and side.

Answer: One breast rippling - numbness 10 weeks post BA. 425 and 450 moderate plus over the muscle. Will this go away when it settles? Sorry to see you are having problems after your BA. A thin person with small breasts is almost sure to have rippling with implants placed over the muscle. As you are only ten weeks after the surgery, this issue is only likely to worsen over time. Adding fat to this space that has such thin skin and with implants so close together does not seem like a good option. The form stable cohesive implants are pretty firm, and placing these over the muscle and having thin tissues to cover, also not the best idea in my humble opinion. The implant pockets, from the photo, also are a bit too close together which would be corrected by submuscular replacement. Seems to me the best option is to place the implants where they should have been placed to begin with.... under the muscle. In placing the implants under the muscle, I would recommend reducing the size if you wish a natural appearing result. Are far as for sensation, it's too early to tell. It may or may not change over time, and only time will tell. Best wishes. Dr Sam Gershenbaum.

Answer: Rippling The rippling will not go away. You will need another surgery to change planes and put the implant under the muscle or change out to a gel implant the does not have the tendency to ripple.
