I wen into surgery on April 19th, 2017 and got Mentor Silicone implants round medium profile(350cc on both breasts). I was originally a 34-36B due to having a wider back. However, I’ve been kind of in a funk lately because I don’t think my breasts are “perky” or as close together as I would have like them to be. Many other women who wear low cut shirts, their breasts fall perfectly in line. Whereas mine fall more to the side with no cleavage. I’m not sure of how I feel about them.
Answer: Could my breast implants have been placed closer together for a rounder cleavage? Thank you for the question. Generally speaking, every patient undergoing breast augmentation surgery should understand that their anatomic starting point will limit the outcome of breast augmentation surgery. More specifically, every patient's anatomic starting point will to some degree determine how much space will be present between the breasts after breast augmentation surgery. Other factors involved include careful breast implant pocket dissection and careful selection of breast implant size/profile. Remember (when it comes to breast implant pocket dissection and achievement of ideal breast implant cleavage) that each nipple/areola complex must be centered on each breast mound.Given your concerns currently, I would suggest that you followup with you plastic surgeon to discuss these concerns/goals. Hopefully, working together, you will come up with a good plan to achieve an outcome that you are happier with. Best wishes.

Answer: Closer and Rounder Good afternoon! I see three problems: 1) your nipples are low- you need a donut mastopexy 2) your implants do not project enough- you need High or UltraHigh Profile implants, or even a switch to overfilled saline, to overcome the heaviness of your natural tissues 3) your implants aren't large enough I have attached a link to my Breast Augmentation Revision photo gallery for your review- hope it helps!

Answer: Size and shape I would sit with your PS and look through the pre and postop photos and try and describe to him / her what you like and don't like. Firstly you need to consider the size and whether you would like more volume and then think about the shape. You may need to consider a lift, a removal and replacement +/- lift and there are a number of different lifting techniques.

Answer: 6 mos post-op. Could my breasts have been placed closer together for a rounder cleavage? You chest/breast anatomy precluded you have a cleavage. Unfortunately your surgeon dud not explain this preoperatively to you. Now you should see the operative surgeon again to discuss in more detail the reasons fir your wide set breasts.

Answer: Post op augmentation Always difficult to answer without an exam, and ability to see the images from before your surgery. But, seems like a nice result. You may wish to discuss the size of the implant with your surgeon.
