I'm 21 years old and I've gone down two cup sizes since high school. Unfortunately this has left me with white stretch marks and sagging. I'm very self conscious of the stretch marks especially. Would a breast lift get rid of my stretch marks and sagging?
Answer: Will a breast lift get rid of stretch marks on a 21 year old? The breast lift will improve the shape and appearance of your breasts, but most of the stretchmarks will remain.Select a plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of breast lifts each year, has great reviews, and has great before and after pictures.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Breast breast lift and stretch marks Thank you for your pictures. A breast lift would get rid of some of your stretch marks by just removing the excess or saggy skin. It cannot get rid of all your stretch marks.Consult with several board-certified plastic surgeons and view there before and after pictures to gauge what your result may look like.Earl Stephenson Jr MD DDS FACS

Answer: Will a breast lift get rid of stretch marks on a 21 year old? It is common for the breast to lose its firmness and perkiness over time, which is also accentuated with age, pregnancy/breast feeding, weight gain/loss, and gravity. This results in breast ptosis, or sagging of the breast with a "deflated" appearance. Given your history of weight loss and a marked decrease in breast size, it has left you with the appearance that you now have as well as the stretch marks, which are scarring within the actual dermis, and unable to be eradicated except by excision of the damaged skin. It does appear that you would be an excellent candidate for a breast lift, which would raise your breast, lift your nipple-areolar complex to an aesthetically-pleasing position, decrease the diameter of your areola, and provide increased fullness of the upper poles by creating better shape and contour of your breasts. The asymmetry of your breasts may also be corrected during the procedure. While most of the stretch marks at the inferior portion of your breast would be excised during the breast lift, unfortunately, the ones of the upper portion would remain. However, providing the upper pole fullness would ameliorate it somewhat, especially if you considered implants along with the mastopexy to fill out this area. Thank you for your question and photos! Hope that this helps...Best wishes!

Answer: Breast Lift and Stretch Marks I would recommend a full breast lift. If you prefer additional upper pole fullness, you may have an implant placed under the muscle. You do have some asymmetry. This would also be addressed. The nipple would be placed higher with a lift, therefore some of the stretch marks would be removed, but the majority would remain on the upper portions of the breasts. If I can be of further assistance, you may call my office.Thank you

Answer: Stretch marks on breasts cannot be removed surgically but your breasts can become more perky with a lift if you are accepting of the potential for scarring and other risks associated with that procedure. If you lost a bunch of weight in this process, congratulations! Focus on the benefits that have resulted from your weight loss.
