Will Galaflex help prevent large implants from bottoming out? (photo)

Hello, well there are different factors that influence the final result of a surgery, such as the patient's age, skin type, genetics, whether they have lost a lot of weight or not, each patient is different, there are patients who bring implants for 10-15 years and do not fall off and others who have already fallen every year, the tights help prevent it from falling, in Your case could help

Galaflex is a tool used to support the implant and breast tissue. In order for it work correctly, the breast needs to have an appropriate size implant and correct nipple-to-breast fold distance. I would recommend downsizing to an appropriate size implant, using Galaflex, and performing a breast lift. I would highly recommend finding a highly trained aesthetic plastic surgeon (preferably 6 years of dedicated plastic surgery residency and 1 year of aesthetic fellowship). Best of luck!

Thanks for your inquiry, you would need a revision mastopexy along with galaflex. In particular you need to shorten the nipple to fold distance.

bottoming out occurs when the implant falls below the current breast crease or inframammary line. It's more likely to happen with inframammary incisions, which is why I try not to use the inframammary approach to any breast surgery.
Bottoming out can also occur if an implant is too large for the breast pocket. That is why it is important to choose an implant size that's correct for your body. I perform numerous measurements in the office to determine optimal implant size for my patient's bodies.
If you are concerned, please check it with your plastic surgeon for reassurance and to further discuss your options and possibility of revision.

Bioabsorbable mesh can help prevent bottoming out by giving support to the tissues, but there is no guarantee that bottoming out won't occur if it's used. The patient's skin elasticity and size of the implants are factors that influence the result. I've included a video I hope you find helpful.

There is a size that even mesh will not support. You surgeon is correct. Your own tissue is stretching and sagging from the weight of the implants and your own tissue is no longer supporting this weight. If you want perkier breasts, you will need to go smaller, probably still have mesh, and have a lift. Thinned stretched out tissue does not support weight.

Thank you for your question and posting an appropriate picture. You seem to be a good candidate for implant support, pocket and manipulation with Galaflex 3-D mesh. This is an advanced procedure and needs to be done expertly. Please look for board certified plastic surgeon with expertise in his procedure. You may need to travel out of state.

I live and work in Florida and use Galaflex every day to support larger implants. In your case I would do a breast lift and use Galaflex for support.
