how in the heck did I go from an A cup to a DD cup with only 280cc breast implants?!!!! I’m not complaining but WHOA!!! I’m 5’6”, weight 115-120lbs., fit and athletic ….. the implant was placed under the muscle and high profile. I’m super stoked but that’s not typically the norm so thought I’d get some feedback! Oh yes and I have one son and when I was preggers my boobs got REAL big!!!
Answer: Bra size There is no formula that states for a given amount of volume that a given cup size will be produced. Cup sizes are a helpful rule of thumb, but are not exact. A high profile implant will give more projection and may change the way a breast fits into the bra cup depending on the manufacturer and style. No matter what we are happy to hear you are so pleased with your outcome!

Answer: Breast result Thanks for your inquiry and glad you are pleased with your result. Bra sizing is unfortunately not standardized. DD in one brand may only be a C in another. The most important thing to understand is that the projection of the implant influences the change in cup size. Thanks for your contribution in helping people understanding choices, best of luck.

Answer: Implant size Dear HelenaofT424, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: 5'6, 115-120lbs, A to DD with only 280cc?! Feedback? (Photos) Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. When patients have a smaller frame, as you do, with a more "narrow" breast diameter their cup size can grow quickly as the extra volume projects faster than having to fill the breast from side to side. Remember bra sizing is just a convention and the more important consideration is whether or not you like your results.

Answer: Implants You are not a DD in all bras, and bras are not made by the same standard dimensions. If you go to Victoria Secret, they size up in bras. The question is are you happy with this size of breast? If not, please discuss this with your surgeon. Do remember that this was the size that you and your surgeon agreed upon and selected.
