I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. That’s a great question. If the implant is too small for your body, you may not really notice any change in the size of your breast. Also, if it is too small, it is easy for it to be in the incorrect position.
You really cannot get "implants too small" for most women, but will just have a smaller breast. Going up one cup instead of two is not a problem if that is what is desired. The problem is when women get implants too large for their breasts. The tissue is stretched and thinned and cannot support the weight. Initially, the women may have hard balls on their chest. Most ladies with large breasts should not get large implants.
If you naturally have larger breasts and you decide to go for smaller implants you should be prepared to see a very subtle change in the long run postop. It is all about expectations and aesthetic goals
If an implant that is too small is selected it could cause an odd breast shape as it may settle in a way that is not ideal. It's important to note that "too small" is not specifically defined as it is typical that a range of implant sizes and styles can correctly fit a patient's body. During a consultation your surgeon will measure your breasts and discuss your surgical goals. This information will be combined to determine a range of implants that may be best for you.
That person will not look in harmony with her body. We as plastic surgeons are trained to recommend the optimum size for the breast implant according to certain factors like : diameter of the torso, size of the chest, height and preferences of the patient.
Greetings,With the guidance of your plastic surgeon, you likely can find a size implant that is appropriate for your larger breasts. You might want to seek a size that is proportionate to the rest of your body. Implants that are too small may only increase the size of your lower breast area.Your plastic surgeon, after examining you at a consultation, can discuss the size and shape issues of enlargements and your options for care.Best Regards,
You are not a DD in all bras, and bras are not made by the same standard dimensions. If you go to Victoria Secret, they size up in bras. The question is are you happy with this size of breast? If not, please discuss this with your surgeon. Do remember that this was the size that you and your...
Both sub muscular and dual plane approaches place the implants under the muscle. Studies show that strength is not significantly impaired with either approach.
From the submitted photo you would have a nice result from a lift with implants. This would raise the position of the nipple, remove excess skin, and downsize the areola. Implants would restore volume and upper pole fullness. I don't think you are a good candidate for implants alone. The...
