Will a surgical mesh fix a breast implant that has fallen too low? (Photos)

This is a challenging problem to address. Your tissues have failed and you need tightening of the pocket with an internal support system like Galaflex. You may also require downsizing to a slightly smaller implant. You need to see someone that is well versed in revision breast surgery and the use of internal bra scaffold system. I would recommend seeing a board-certified or board-eligible plastic surgeon with aesthetic surgery training and experience to tackle this type of problem in a safe and efficient manner. Thank you for your question. The reason you’re implants are falling is because the Inframammary fold his weekend, or was naturally lower on one side but it is more noticeable with implants in place. Think of implants like I’m magnifying glass for any slight asymmetry. Putting a Mechen is a good solution to raise the IMF. In conjunction, you may get better long-term results by downsizing either implants. Good luck.

You should be seen in consultation and discuss the details of your implants and prior surgery, but yes, if you failed one revision already, a revision of the breast implant capsule with an internal mesh bra would be a very reasonable next step. I would use Galaflex in such a case as this.

Thank you for question and posting appropriate pictures. You certainly are a good candidate for implant support using Galaflex 3-D mesh. It is best to have this done by an experienced surgeon with a lot of experience using this type of approach. It is important not to volumize your Implants any further as part of this operation. Of course it is best to have a consultation virtually or in person to discuss.

Since you have already had a capsulorrhaphy that failed, another attempt is not likely to succeed unless support is added to reinforce the thin tissue envelope around the implant. An internal bra with Galaflex mesh would be my recommendation.

bottoming out occurs when the implant falls below the current breast crease or inframammary line. It's more likely to happen with inframammary incisions, which is why I try not to use the inframammary approach to any breast surgery.
Bottoming out can also occur if an implant is too large for the breast pocket. That is why it is important to choose an implant size that's correct for your body. I perform numerous measurements in the office to determine optimal implant size for my patient's bodies.
If you are concerned, please check it with your plastic surgeon for reassurance and to further discuss your options and possibility of revision.

Thank you for your question. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to revision breast surgery. In your case, I would recommend suturing the lateral/outer portion of the pocket - capsulorrhaphy and opening up the center portion of the pocket-capsulotomy. Some people call this an internal bra. There are various technologies to help. Sometime natural products such as allografts (cadaver products treated to be safe for you) and other times man made products such as mesh that can be made out of permanent or resorbable materials can be used. This may offer you the correction that you desire. A full consultation would be necessary and I recommend you work with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
