Thank you for your question. It is difficult to predict who will get capsular contracture and why. While releasing part of the capsule may allow the implant to expand into the lower pole of your breast, there is definitely a chance that you will get capsular contracture again. In fact people who have had one episode of capsular contracture are more likely to get a second. More aggressive treatment and treating capsular contracture would it include removing the whole capsule, exchanging the implant location, and Using acellular dermal matrix. I question whether it’s due to capsular contracture at all. Lowering an implant is not uncommon to have done. It should be successful.
