I have severe double bubble in both breasts after my breast implant surgery in December 2020. Both breasts have animation deformity. I have yet to see any example photos as bad as mine. I’ve consulted with 4 surgeons and none of them seem to have experience correcting this. How do I find an experienced surgeon that knows how to handle my case? I’d prefer not to travel long distances, but if I need to I will
Answer: Double bubble Thank you for your question. Sometimes it can be difficult to find a surgeon that deals with breast revision cases as they require a lot of thought and time in the operating room. The solution for your problem, without seeing pictures, is likely to remove the implant and at least part of the capsule, reattach the peck muscle to the chest wall, and put the new implant over the peck muscle. This is a difficult surgery to get perfect as there are a lot of moving parts, however it can be done. Someone who does a lot of breast reconstruction after cancer as well as cosmetic surgery may be able to provide you with a good’s Surgical result. Good luck.

Answer: Expert breast implant surgery Thank you for your question, unfortunately it is difficult to comment with that pictures, but I said that you likely have to travel to get an experience surgeon to perform the procedure. Please plan on staying locally is 3 to 5 days after the procedure and the remainder of the follow up can be done virtually. It’s best to have a virtual consultation to discuss options.

Answer: How to correct double bubble and animation deformity Double bubble and animation deformity are often both caused by detachment of the pectoral muscle with dual plane placement. In order to correct it, the muscle needs to be re-attached behind the implant. This can be done by converting to the split muscle plane or subfascial. There are many examples of this on my website.

Answer: Double bubble Dear Funny891206, though rare, some women who undergo breast augmentation will develop a minor deformity known as a “double bubble,” in which additional folds appear underneath the breasts due to the implant accidentally shifting or contracting post-surgery. In most cases, the implant simply slipped too far down the chest wall and traveled behind the breast inframammary crease (the area where the lower breast meets the chest), instead of moving forward to fill the breast cavity. If left untreated, the lopsided implant will form unnatural indentations, resulting in an odd “four-breast effect” rather than the full, rounded chest the patient initially desired.
