Dr. Rajjoub is amazing. I originally consulted her for a skin issue around my eyes and she was the first professional I felt comfortable enough to ask about neurotoxins. She answered all my questions and I have continued to see her every three months for injections for the past year. Her honesty (what looks natural and what does not) and professionalism is unparalleled.
Dr. Rajjoub was amazing! She is kind, thorough and a fantastic surgeon. She took care of my sagging eyelids and made me look 30 years younger. The procedure took place right in her office and she went out of her way to make me comfortable. I was hesitant about the blepharoplasty, but am so very happy that I did it. Please consider Dr. Rajjoub if you want/need this surgery. You will be so glad that you did!!
Dr. Rajjoub knows her job well. On September 17th, 2021, Dr Rajjoub reconstructed my tear duct and on October 18th, 2021, I received the all clear from Dr. Rajjoub. There are very few surgeons in Fairfax VA with the skills to operate on an eye with a seriously infected and totally blocked tear duct. After visiting 6 referrals we finally found Dr Rajjoub. She was willing, and able. The operation was a total success. It started and completed on time. My family was kept informed of the progress every step of the way and at last I can look in the mirror and know it is me.
I had been putting off seeing an eye surgeon for years because I was afraid that I would need surgery. I had a growing eye bump inside above my upper right eyelid, but I knew it was time to seek help. After doing my research, I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Rajjoub and I am so glad that I found Dr. Rajjoub, she was thorough and ran some tests to determine the cause of the bump. After the results, Dr. Rajjoub reviewed all my options and let me make the decision. Since it was impacting my vision, I decided to proceed with surgery to reposition my tear glands for both eyes and upper and lower blepharoplasty. This was my first surgery ever, so I was very nervous, but Dr. Rajjoub, answered all my questions and made me feel very at ease. Post surgery was not bad at all and since I followed Dr. Rajjoub's instructions, my recovery went well and was quick. I am extremely satisfied with my results. I look rested and refreshed. Thank you Dr. Rajjoub. If you are having eye issues that may require surgery or considering upper and/or lower blepharoplasty, I highly recommend seeing Dr. Rajjoub - she was great! (I tried uploading images, but system would not allow me to load my pictures)
This 78 year old face can now espress the joy I take in life. Thanks to the skill and sensitivity of Dr. Rajjoub, I cwill walk through life with my eyes wide open. A transformative experience. Thank you, to Dr. Rajjoub and the staff of Silk Vision
Dr. Rajjoub has followed me throughout my process of getting a DCR and she’s been exceptional. She manages to provide warmth to an otherwise uncomfortable process and details the treatment plan in a way that the patient can understand. Her enthusiasm for what she does is clear and it has helped put myself at ease and feel she has my best interests in mind. I’ve never written a review for a physician, but Dr. Rajjoub is worthy of more than five stars.
Dr Rajjoub performed both an eyelid as we;; as an eyebrow lift to improve my peripheral vision. Not only has the peripheral view improved but my overall vision seems improved. The surgery went well and the recovery was great with little or no pain. I now look lik3 the sample photographs Dr Rajjoub showed me.
Some doctors don’t listen very well to their patients, they’ll just do what they think. She listened first then we came up with a plane. She was very honest about what my outcome would be and not just tell me what I wanted to hear.
Dr. Rajjoub performed my upper eye lid blepharoplasty and I couldn't be happier. The in-office surgery was painless and I was comfortable the entire time. I look awake and refreshed and my peripheral vision has improved. Aside from her skills, Dr. Rajjoub is friendly, caring and very easy to talk to. I'd highly recommend her to anyone for general eye health or surgery.
Dr. Lamise Rajjoub is one of the best Oculoplastic (eye) surgeons in the country!!! Last December, I severely injured my left eye. Dr. Rajjoub did a fantastic job repairing the eye! Additionally, after the surgery, I was able to see better out of my left eye!! I spent two years on "House of Cards" playing a "White House Report" and I was selected to appear in "Wonder Woman." Plus, I have appeared in a few commercials when my schedule permitted. Prior to Dr. Dr. Rajjoub amazing work on my eye, I assumed any future acting was out of the question. My eyes look 110% better now and I plan to accept future auditions!! Call her office at 703-876-9700 if you are considering eye surgery. You will be glad that you made the appoint!!! Sincerely, Tony
It never hurts to be conservative your first time getting a treatment. Neuromodulators can take 3-7 days to start noticing effect, with maximal effect noticed around 2 weeks. Don't be discouraged yet! Also, you can always have more units placed, while if too much was placed and you did not like that effect you would have to wait until the medication wears off. Try to schedule a 2-3 week follow up with your provider after your treatment to ensure that you can discuss the results and see if any touch ups are necessary.
I would highly recommend seeing a provider who is comfortable injecting around the eyes and can monitor your dry eyes, such as an oculoplastic surgeon. Injection locations around the eyes must be very targeted to prevent lagophthalmos (inability to close the eyes) which can worsen your dry eye.
Restylane Lyft is FDA approved for cheek augmentation (lasting approximately 12 months), deep dermal folds such as the nasolabial folds (lasting approximately 12-18 months) and the dorsal aspect of the hands (lasting approximately 6 months). Placement location, amount injected and how your body metabolizes it will affect how long it lasts.
Based upon the photograph that you provided, I would highly recommend that you see an oculoplastic surgeon for a complete eyelid evaluation and discussion of your goals and expectations. There is no "one plan fits all" when it comes to treatment as there are many factors to consider. Understanding all of your options prior to committing to a decision is very important. In your picture you do appear to have "bags" or fat that is prolapsed which may make you a less than ideal candidate for filler and someone who should at least consider lower eyelid blepharoplasty. Not everyone is ready for surgery and yes technically filler can be done to try to mask the "bag" which is exacerbating the nearby hollows. However, important things to discuss are the risks/benefits of filler vs blepharoplasty, cost, downtime/recovery, expectations and what maintenance/further treatments may be required. With all of this information, you can then see which treatment may fit into your life and comfort level at this time. Best of luck!
Thank you for this important question. Patient safety, rather than concern of money or filler lost, should be the driving factor in this decision. Saving unused filler in an open syringe is not recommended as it poses a risk of product contamination resulting in infection or further potential complications to the patient. There is also the real risk, as mistakes occur, that patient's may receive filler that was saved from a different patient. It is best to either use the entire syringe in one setting or to discard of the extra. You may find providers doing this, but this is not standard of care.
