I’m a 29 year old 5 ft 2, 140 lbs female. I recently got a bbl and 360 liposuction with the intent to get a tummy tuck once healed. I absolutely love the results of my body and I’m not 100% sure that a tummy tuck would be necessary as my stomach is now almost completely flat. My concern is that my stretch marks on my stomach are now very apparent aswell as the ripple of the extra skin. If I need to get the tummy tuck I will do that but are there any other options to fix the condition ?
Answer: Full tummy tuck A full tummy tuck may be suitable for you. The procedure would remove the loose skin and reduce the presence of stretch marks. Nonsurigcal would not be able to achieve as predictable or dramatic results.

Answer: A Tummy Tuck is Likely the Best Option for Excess Skin and Wrinkling Thank you for your question regarding the appearance of your abdomen. By evaluating your photos, it’s evident that a tummy tuck would be the most effective option to address the excess skin and wrinkling you mentioned. This procedure will remove the loose skin that’s causing rippling and minimize the appearance of stretch marks on the lower abdomen. While there are non-surgical skin-tightening treatments, such as radiofrequency or ultrasound-based options, these are generally less effective for significant excess skin and may not provide the smooth results you’re looking for. A tummy tuck, however, would directly remove the stretched, wrinkled skin and allow for a flatter, more contoured look that complements your recent liposuction results. A tummy tuck would also improve the appearance of your belly button and tighten the rectus muscle, which will give you even more of an hourglass shape. Congratulations on your successful 360 liposuction. If you choose to take it a step further and get rid of the excess skin and some of your stretch marks, I think you'll have excellent results. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who has tons of experience with tummy tucks, and specifically, tummy tucks after liposuction. Best of luck! Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Best treatment for the condition of my stomach. I have found that the skin can tighten dramatically during Lipo 360 if BodyTite, radiofrequency skin tightening, is integrated into the procedure. If this was done, then with time, there is a high likelihood the skin will tighten down. If, however, more traditional methods of liposuction were performed, then the likelihood of skin laxity may be real and lasting. Often, a tummy tuck is the correct solution and will address this. However, a new treatment called Quantum, designed as a pure skin tightener, may be a reasonable possibility to attempt prior to committing to a tummy tuck, as a tummy tuck is a more involved procedure. In addition, something to consider is that if you plan on having children after your current procedure, then one is better served waiting to perform the tummy tuck until one is 100% sure they are done having children.

Answer: Skin laxity post lipo/bbl A tummy tuck is your best option to tighten the skin and remove a lot of the stretch marks. Other nonsurgical options aren’t going to help much and end up costing a lot more.

Answer: Tummy tuck The only procedure that would be successful would be a tummy tuck. You have too much skin for any other procedure. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
