You can have swelling for 3-6 months after Coolsculpting. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. For best results with Coolsculpting, a combination approach is needed. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. However, a Vaser with ThermiRF procedure which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck is the best combination for a toned result, but requires more downtime. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hello,Thank you for your question. Bloating is very common after CoolSculpting. It can last for a couple of weeks. However if you feel it is excessive or if you are experiencing any pain or abnormal side effects please notify your physician and allow them to evaluate. Good luck!
Post treatment swelling is completely normal after CoolSculpting. This is especially true when treating the abdominal region. Additionally, we find that those who have treated with the Original technology applicators or the Original CoolMax will experience the most swelling. The new technology, called Advantage yields a much lower rate of post treatment bloating. But, we have been treating for years and have heard many patients remark that they felt as though they were pregnant for a few weeks after the treatment. So, the good news is that swelling is a normal and expected part of the post treatment experience. Good luck with everything!
It should completely resolve, with time. Of course, if your bloating gets worse, or, if you develop additional symptoms, get it checked with your provider, just to be sure! :)
Yes is the answer. Cool Mini is approved by the FDA for some degree of skin tightening. But if you have more than desired skin laxity after Coolsculpting of the neck, there are options available to give you an even more contoured jawline.
This is a great question. The applicator is positioned based on several factors: orientation of the fatty tissue and where the peak of the fat is. The applicator is normally not placed directly over the belly button since the peak of the "bulge" would not be the belly button. You should consult...
Great question. The reason you see some variability in the answers to the questions regarding swelling duration is that it is very variable from patient to patient as well as area of the body that is treated. I have been treating CoolSculpting patients since 2010, and I would say the average...
