Do the shortened collagen and muscle fibers start lengthening again? Is that why you need to keep doing it? Does it deflate all of a,sudden. Can some one explain the physiological process?

Answer: Will My Ultherapy Results Suddenly Go Away? Your results will not suddenly go away. The results of Ultherapy go away gradually over time as the collagen begins to break back down. To maintain your results you would need to get maintenance treatments. Depending on how quickly your results fade you may need to get this done every 1 - 3 years for optimal results. Hope this helps.

Answer: Ultherapy Results Hi and thank you for your question. The results of Ultherapy do not suddenly disappear, it is a gradual process. We continue to age and loose collagen, so as this process continues, you will feel the need for maintenance treatments. For some people they may want a second treatment in 1 year, and for others every 2-3 years. It depends on where you started when you had the first treatment, what your expectations/goals are, and how you are currently aging. We customize each treatment for the individual patient, targeting all areas of concern, doing the three different depths and maximize the results by delivering twice the amount of lines as the standard treatment. These advanced techniques are proving to provide our patients with superb results and even starting to see results a few weeks to a month out. Take care,Dr. Grant Stevens
