I want a subtle skin lift. I'm 34. Am I too young for Ultherapy?

I would like to err on the side of safety as I know the results can be poor. I want a very subtle change and am Caucasian 5'7 140 lbs. What is my best "risk free" option? Thermage? Infiniti? Endolift from Europe? Microcurrent?

The best way to determine which treatment would be most appropriate for you is to have an in-person consultation and evaluation with an experienced physician who offers multiple treatments to address your concerns. Ultherapy can be used as a preventative or maintenance treatment in the appropriate candidates. Results will never be poor when the treatment is performed properly. Hope this helps.

If your overall face (skin and soft tissue) is full but sagging, Ultherapy® may be your best option. If your face is thin, but your face is droopy, then the Thermage Thermi Tight® (or another radio frequency-based laser such as Viora®) may be more appropriate. Lastly if fine lines are your main issue, then micro needling with or without radio frequency can be very effective. (Infiniti® is a microneedling + radio frequency laser). Ulthera is an excellent non-invasive way to stimulate collagen and maintain a youthful, "lifted" appearance.  Our patients often start with a smaller area of concern, such as the jawline or brows.  Ulthera can provide a subtle lifting and tightening and potentially delay the need for more invasive treatments.  Ulthera is also excellent for patients who are currently using injectable fillers and/or Botox and wish to help maintain those results.  While there are risks with any procedure, Ulthera has a strong history of safety.  Since your provider is able to visualize the layers of tissue during treatment, they can ensure the energy is being delivered precisely to the appropriate location.  Patients may experience mild swelling and tenderness following treatment.  I would recommend a consultation with an experienced provider who can determine if you are a candidate for treatment and develop a treatment plan to best meet your needs.  You are smart to consider non-invasive options at an early age.  Taking small steps early on to protect and improve your skin can yield great results as you age.

This is a great option for both men and women starting in their 30s for skin tightening especially for the lower face and neck. Hi and thank you for your question. We have treated some patients in their 30's with Ultherapy who have been very happy with their results. You may be able to avoid or postpone more invasive procedures in the future. However, the best bet is to have a consultation with an experienced provider. We have yet to have any side effects, complications, or complaints from our patients, and in fact, they are all very pleased with their results. Just be sure your providers conducts a detailed consultation with you to be sure they customize the treatment to your needs. Ultherapy might be a good option for those in their 30s. If one has some neck fullness, Ultherapy might be a good option. For those with early laxity that  might be seen in one's late 30's, Ultherapy might help as well.I would not say that results are "poor", because that is not true. Results are usually not dramatic. So, it is all about expectations. If one wants a dramatic result, Ultherapy is not the treatment for them.

Luther is an ideal option in cases where a younger person wants to see subtle lifting. Don't waste your time on Thermal because it just does not work. Radio frequency based topical treatments are just not effective. We have seen many younger patients like yourself do very well with Ultherapy. Good luck!
