This is totally fine - there is no contraindication, higher risk of issues or complications. Although the majority of patients commit to otoplasty at an earlier age, you would be an equally good candidate.
It is very safe to undergo otoplasty in middle age. Any individual who does not have any significant medical problems can undergo the procedure in a very safe fashion. It can be done with only local anesthesia, mild sedation or general anesthesia.Regards
If you are in good health there is no reason not to proceed with an otoplasty at any age. The only way to know for sure if you are a good candidate is to book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to see what your options are. Best of luck!
There are no age requirements for otoplasty. Ear reconstructive surgery is performed on infants to elders. As long as there is no medical contraindication to surgery an otoplasty can be performed (usually under local anesthesia). Please use this information when consulting in person with an experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
Otoplasty can be done at any age (after 5 years old), as long as you do not have any medical contraindications.

In my experience, your maturity is a plus in helping you make sensible decisions and setting realistic expectations.I hope this has been of value and wish you well with your decision.
