Dr Bentkover i want to thank you so much for doing such a wonderful surgical repair on my nose after having a devastating fall. Even though i am still in the recovery phase of this procedure, I am very pleased with the results. If anyone was ever going to operate on my face ever again,it would be you. I would like other potential patients to know how wonderful you and your staff have treated me. Thank you for your demonstration of kindness, caring and compassionate care, because this made the difference as well as your expertise in your field. Being of a healthcare background myself, I also understand the importance of the patient, not just the procedure. I also know that as a patient ,you, also put that at the forefront of your practice. You, Nancy and the entire staff are wonderful! I am so very pleased to have you so graciously brought your professional skills, talents and care into my life.
I had a laser treatment done on my acne scars preformed by Dr. Bentkover. After this experience I would never dream of going anywhere else. Dr. Bentkover and all his staff were wonderful throughout the pre-op, day of, and post-op. My face looks awesome. I had some serious acne scarring around my temples and jaw line previous to the surgery. All the scars have all but disappeared. My skin feels much smoother and is devoid of any markings or spots. I don't even break out like I used to. Everything was explained to me thoroughly through out the entire process, and Dr. Bentkover and his staff made sure that every question was answered. I cannot thank this office enough for their kindness and treatment. I hope to have pre and post pictures soon.
I was hesitant to write this but after going through the journey, I hope I can inspire others thinking about rhinoplasty. I experienced trauma to my face twice--first at birth when I was literally born face first (had a huge bump on my head and face was totally squished) and second when I was 6 years old in a bumper cart accident. I was not wearing a seat-belt and smashed my face against the hard plastic dashboard, as my older cousin drove into another bumper cart full force. Unlike the rest of my beautiful family, I was the only one with a strange looking nose. It curved to the right, had no support at the tip and drooped and had a hump on the bridge. After years of research and consideration, I finally pulled the trigger on March 1st and now 8 days post-op, I am THRILLED TO HAVE DONE SO. Lessons learned: 1) Do your homework. It's so important to find a surgeon you like and feel comfortable with. I first met my surgeon, Dr. Bentkover, 4 years ago. I wasn't ready at the time and continued my search. Finally, I met with him again at the end of 2015 and felt that out of all the surgeons in the Boston area, he had the best skills, experience, sensibility, and confidence. 2) Make sure you're in a good place. Mentally, I was prepared because I reached a point in my life where I was ready to go through with the procedure. I am engaged to the love of my life, who gave me tremendous support. My mother and other family members supported my decision along with my friends. I could afford to take time off to heal and am financially stable. 3) Set realistic expectations. Really talk with your surgeon, with your friends, family, etc. about what an ideal nose should look like. I personally wanted a similar nose to my mother's and grandmother's. I just wanted the nose I felt I was born with before it was broken. Updated on 11 Mar 2016: Wanted to share the before and after photos--the before ones are not the best because they are candid so I will post some professional before side profile views once I get them from Dr. Bentkover. Updated on 11 Mar 2016: This is truly amazing. My bruising was not terrible like some photos I have seen. I drank pineapple juice every morning for 10 days before surgery AND took bromelain. I cut out any vitamin e and drank a ton of water. I truly prepped for the surgery. Dr. Bentkover was fantastic to work with. He spent a great deal of time explaining the pros and cons and what to expect during the procedure. He took photos and brought them up on computer screens so we could review. We discussed various sizing options and what would suit my facial features best. He really understands each and every patients wants and needs and his goal is 100% satisfaction. The office is very professional and Dr. B is a very warm and welcoming person. I came back 2 weeks after my consultation for the injection. The medical assistant stood with me the entire time and gave me an ice pack for my neck, as I became a bit nervous 1/2 way through. Dr. B stopped the injections and gave me a few minutes to lay back and the medical assistant continued to ensure I was doing OK and was comfortable. Once my nerves settled down, we continued the injections until Dr. B was satisfied we had reached our projected outcome. I took a look in the mirror and was extremely happy with my results. I was given detailed instructions on how to take care of my lips over the next few days, and what to expect in the coming weeks. Dr B ensures he is always readily available to his patients via phone/email, in the event of any questions, concerns, or reactions from the injection. He is humble, passionate, and knowledgeable, and I would certainly recommend him to anyone looking for a true artist. Injections are not something to be done just anywhere; you want to ensure you choose a licensed professional with extensive experience and an eye for beauty. There are numerous things that could go wrong during this type of procedure, so choosing the right Doctor is vital to your outcome. Updated on 21 May 2015: The injections were a bit painful, as there is no numbing done prior to the injections. You will feel the needle going in and out. We injected in quite a few different spots on my lips as this product works best when placed more superficially. The product itself does contain numbing ingredients, however, I would not say it was helpful for the discomfort. The lips will feel numb afterwards. I wouldn't say this is reason enough to not get it done, the discomfort is bareable. I began to swell a bit as the evening went on and certainly wasnt used to the feeling of bigger lips. The following day I was extremely swollen, however it was better in the afternoon and I was able to run errands and not be embarassed. The day afterwards the swelling went down significantly and was looking very nice. I rarely used ice. I noticed a reduction in the overall size as time went on and about 4 weeks after. I noticed swelling every morning I woke up, however I thought it gave me a really nice plump. It took me about a week to adjust to the feeling of the lips and they were painful to the touch for about 2 weeks. I did not experience any bruising except for tiny spots at the injection sites, nothing really noticeable. I had a small bubble form and had the Dr take a look and we decided to leave it alone. It did end up going down almost completely. I can feel some small bumps in my lips when I rub them together, however this is rather normal... it seems more noticeable at certain times of the day and lessens as time goes on. I will say they look beautiful and are perfectly aligned. I had the procedure done on a Thurs and went back to work Mon, and noone noticed I had "work done". I am now wondering if I should go bigger!...although it isn't the most budget friendly. I think you should wait atleast 6 weeks before making a decision on getting more filler, bc your lips will change a bit during this time. I would get injections again.
I was very pleased with the outcome dr. bentkover did a excellent job with my nose his staff was very kind and also very helpful dr bentkover ansawered my questions and also told me what was going on all the time I went to another dr. he said I would have to have my skin peeled off and it would bleed iwould have to keep going back for months ihad it for a year I would hear people say things I went to dr. charron he told me about dr. bentkover I am very pleased my family and friends say it looks a lot better thank you dr. bentkover and his staff
After spending a small fortune raising and educating children, I decided to spend some money on myself, just myself. I asked myself, what did I really want? I wanted a facelift. I consulted Dr. Bentkover at St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester Massachusetts. He did a great job and I would recommend him to anyone.
I am so pleased with the results from my "non-surgical" facelifts and botox injections. They last for several months and then some. There is no downtime to having these procedures done. When I look in the mirror, I love what I see looking back at me and I feel so much better about myself. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Bentkover's skill as a doctor!
When deciding on making a change I was excited and terrified at the same time. What if something went wrong, what if I looked worse? When talking with Dr. Bentkover he helped me relax saw what I felt needed changing and then reassured me throughout the process. The biggest thing that stood out to compared to other places was the support and family atmosphere. If you make an appt you'll meet Nancy his wife and nurse. Nancy is what sold it for me. She was as excited as I was and was the first person I wanted to show. She remembers your name, gives you the squishy reassuring hug and will tell you the truth, yes it looks swollen but you look so good! If it's something that bothers you, you avoid photos or think god my nose this... Then take the step and be happy to be in the photo.
I was very pleased with dr. bentkover and staff with a excellent job I would tell anybody to go to them to have surgery done I feel a lot better allso i can breathe better I was having trouble breathing and one side was almost closed my appearance is also a lot better allso the staff in e.r. as well as office were very helpful kind special thanks to dr. bentkover
Dr Bentkover has done a fantastic job with my botox (actually dysport and xeomin) and radiesse filler. I look 10 years younger (my husband says15 years younger :-)! My forehead is completely smooth, my frown lines are gone and my eyes no longer have crows feet, even when I smile. My cheeks are plump just like a 20 something's cheeks. So worth it! I feel serene and beautiful again. If you've never had botox and fillers and are considering trying them, don't hesitate. Thank you, Dr Bentkover!
Just removing the bump is called a hump reduction. It might leave your nose looking to long. It looks to me like your tip sticks out too far, over projects. It might need to be moved back. I would need to measure the distance on the computer to know for sure. You need an evaluation with a rhinoplasty expert.
Yes, dark skin can be treated. But every tattoo removal laser out there also likes brown. The removal must be done very carefully for fear of losing pigment where you don't want to lose it. It is not easy.
First of all, don't knock yourself out about sneezing and moving the internal splint. It is not likely that it is the cause of you septal deviation. The deviation was likely already there. Depending on where the cartilage was harvested for the valve repair, it just be more prominent now. Some valve repairs are easy, some are not. It depends, I think, on the amount of muscle in the area. It also looks like part of the lateral crus of the lower lateral cartilage is being pushed into your nose. There are a few secondary procedures that are used in a case like yours. You should seek a consultation with a rhinoplasty expert. Also, talk to your original surgeon first.
I prefer to use a septal cartilage graft to raise the profile. This can be a solid or a minced graft depending of the situation. See the link attached below.
The statute in MA requires that a supervising MD be present and actually that there be a written order. However, whose judgement do you trust more, a surgeon trained in facial surgery or a nurse who attended a one day course. It is certainly up to you. The best nurse injectors are in MD offices.
