Otoplasty went wrong ??? Bigger antihelical fold was provided than required ?? Please guide me. (photos)

You do have deformity due to over-correction. Considering that your surgery was relatively recent you should address this problem with your surgeon. It can be corrected, sooner the better. Good luck.

It does appear that your helical fold is overly corrected. On your 45 degree view it is hidden behind the anti helical fold. At this point, you're very early in the healing process. I also assume that you've been wearing a compression garment. It is possible that this will relax and begin to correct itself once that dressing has been removed. I would discuss your concerns with your surgeon and have them re-evaluate your ears to reassure you. If your helical rim remains overcorrected this can be revised. Your otoplasty results will not likely improve much, as your conchal bowl is too deep, your antihelical fold is overly corrected and corrected in an unnatural position.  You should seek revision before your ear has healed completely in this shape.

Photo 2 shows that an unnatural curvature of the upper end of the antihelix fold has arisen and photo 3 shows a deformation of the ear. Such changes are risks that can occur with the use of the traditional method where cartilage is worked on. Ask your surgeon whether it wouldn’t be advisable to remove the threads and create a new natural curve of the upper antihelix fold with new threads and thus remove the deformity.

Discuss your concerns with your surgeon. He will let you know of your options.  Your surgery can be revised and touched up in case such intervention is needed. It is not the end of the world.
