If your skin seems recovered from the microneedling, then Ultherapy should be okay but bear in mind that ideally a two week recovery should be allowed before stimulating your facial tissues again. Your skin should have regained its normal color and texture before considering any other treatments including injections. Also, this combination of treatments ideally would be at a facility that has a doctor with specific aesthetic qualifications (plastic surgeon, facial plastic surgeon, or dermatologist). There should be someone there to answer this question.
Thank you for your question. If the skin has healed after dermapen PRP, it will be safe to do Ultherapy. I recommend that you wait at least 2 weeks to a month before you get the Ultherapy. Ultherapy is FDA cleared to treat laxity of the skin in the lower face, jowls and neck.Read the Ultherapy ebook on the link below. BestDr. Karamanoukian
Hello and thank you for your question! This is definitely one of those question that the provider doing your Ultherapy should be qualified to answer and the answer should be based on how aggressive the dermapen/PRP was and how your skin is healing. However, with the information we have, I would say you want to be sure the skin is fully healed before treating with the Ultherapy. If you were planning to have the 1.5mm transducer, this could irritate the skin on the surface if there is still healing from the derma pen & PRP. Ultherapy has very little downtime and the two deeper layers should no effect on the surface of the skin (if done correctly). You should have a nice result by combing these two procedures safely. Thank you! Dr. Grant Stevens
Dear Peterrr:Because Ultherapy works at a deeper level than microneedling, I do believe you can have the treatment performed after microneedling and may experience a benefit at all layers of the skin. Ultherapy transducers can delivers cones of intense focused ultrasound at depths or 4.5 mm, 3 mm, and 1.5mm. Since most micropens can go to a depth of 2.5mm at most, I would avoid having the 1.5mm transducer with Ultherapy, as this will only increase your cost without known additional benefit. Be aware that this combination has not been studied in clinical trials.Personally, I would be a bit more conservative and suggest that you wait for at least two weeks if not 4 weeks before Ultherapy, to ensure all undue swelling and inflammation from the microneedling has resolved. All the best,Dr. Clark
Is this happening in a "medspa"? If you had a real micro needling and PRP treatment, your face would be to raw and red to have anything else done. I would strongly recommend that you wait at least a month before having Ultherapy treatment to allow adequate recovery of the skin.

Ultherapy uses high intensity focused ultrasound energy and focuses the energy at 4.5 mm at the deepest level as visualized by B mode imaging. It will not effect deeper structures like salivary nodes or parotid glands. Make sure the Ultherapy procedure is being done by a physician or physician ...
