I had a 360 tummy tuck and it was suggested after that I get a torsoplasty, to address my remaining love handles. Will this procedure narrow my upperback and address the spillage over the top of my band or will it only pull up my back? I kind of look like a linebacker at the moment due to muscle and skin! how much swelling is there typically with this procedure? it look several months for me to like the results from the 360 TT but that also involved muscle manipulation.
Answer: Back lift The back lift will address excess skin along the mid and upper back, giving a smoother contour. The incision is designed so that it can be hidden under a bra line. There is some swelling and recovery with the procedure, but it is typically shorter than that associated with your previous procedure. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Back lift Back lift improves above the brassiere line and also a great improvement down to the waist line. Not a lot of swelling as you experienced after the tummy tuck. The lateral torso is an independent anatomical area which is sided of the breast and if that area is saggy as well, you may need in combination a Lateral Torsoplasty which means a vertical or crescent incision to remove the excess of width, and that procedure will make you look slimmer. Back lift removes excess of length and lateral Torsoplasty removed excess of width. As expert in After weight loss surgeries, the above is the perfect combination. Be encouraged. Dr. Cárdenas

Answer: Understanding the Bra Line Back Lift Thank you for your question regarding the bra line back lift, whether it targets the upper back, and how much postoperative swelling is typically associated with it. The bra line back lift is a procedure that can indeed effectively address excess skin and fat in the upper back. This procedure typically takes about four hours and involves resecting a large, butterfly-shaped area of skin that naturally narrows at the center of your back and widens towards the armpit. This procedure can also lift a lower body lift scar if you've previously undergone a lower body lift or extended tummy tuck. As with any procedure, there will be some swelling. This usually resolves within about two weeks, with all swelling typically gone by six to eight weeks post-surgery. I hope this clarifies your questions regarding the bra line back lift and its impact on the upper back, as well as typical swelling post-procedure. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Bra Line but not Flanks The bra line excision, or torsoplasty, will address the lateral bra area and have a good effect on the spilling over of the excess axillary tissue over the bra. However, it will not typically effect the flanks, or "love handle" area to any great extent. For this you will need additional liposuction or an excisional procedure, such as a belt lipectomy, for the most effective results.

A back lift does not address love handles, but does help with the the upper back , and the “spillage” over the top of the bra-band. The swelling is not as much as after belt-lipectomy (360 tummy tuck) , that you have already undergone. You will look quite good in two to three months and your back will look much better.
