I would recommend you work with your surgeon potentially there is a bra or taping technique you could try to use to lower the fold. It's may or may not be successful. If that doesn't work then you may require Revision in 3 to 6 months.Best Regards,Dr Gartner

In your age it takes approximately 1.5 years for scars to settle and mature; 4 weeks to 6 months you will experience red and juicy scars which you have now. Thew will decrease in size, fade and become significantly less visible in time. Use of scar remedies like Miderma, Scar Guard or any other remedy that has silicone oil as active component will help and speed up scar maturation. Good luck and patience.

However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 2 weeks  post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Anna. I appreciate your concern, but there are several factors involved here. First off, at this early stage in your recovery, there is still swelling and the implants need to settle. This can certainly affect the location of your scar and it may lower itself closer to the fold witn time. Also, it takes a full year for scars to mature and they often look red and angry in the early stage. Ask your surgeon about appropriate scar care, massage the scar with moisturizer and use silicone gel strips.Try to stay patient and follow up with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.

The important thing is that you are happy with the result!    It is natural for scars to look red and feel firm or even raised at this point after surgery; it is a sign the body is doing it's job to heal the incision.  You are only 2 weeks from surgery and your scars will look better and better as time goes on.  It is important to discuss scar management with your surgeon but I generally recommend gentle scar massage starting one week after surgery and then more aggressive massage after that.  There are also topical treatments that can be a good adjunct to massage.  The scar may continue to look red and raised for several weeks but this is natural and expected.  I would give it plenty of time before deciding on any intervention.  An incision that is just slightly onto the breast, like yours, will generally be very inconspicuous once the scar matures.

Wait 6 months to evaluate the final position of the fold. Consider lowering the scar at that time depending upon the scar's final position. It is too early to do anything about it now. Best regards,Dr. Ravi Somayazula
