Answer: Anesthetic concerns Hello, it is quite common for people to be concerned about being put to sleep for any operation. On the date of the procedure it is customary to meet the entire team including the anesthetist who is providing your general anesthetic, and for you to have an opportunity to understand the process of putting you to sleep and waking you back up. Hopefully this will help to make you more comfortable with the procedure.

Answer: I'm getting breast implants and I'm scared to die and I have children. Is it normal to feel this way? Hello! Thank you for your question! It is a very safe procedure with minimal risk from anesthesia. It is common for patients to experience thoughts such as yours, especially as the date approaches. Anxiety is normal, but I hope to reassure you the safety of surgical procedures and anesthesia. I encourage you to discuss your feelings with your surgeon prior to your procedure for additional assurance. Certainly ensure the qualifications and regulations of your surgeon, anesthesia, and facility. Best wishes for a wonderful result!

Answer: You have normal concerns Everyone has some anxiety before surgery. I's normal. The best thing to do before surgery is to make sure that it is being performed under the best conditions, by the best people. Board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery is the best reassurance of quality and safety. Make sure that the facility is accredited by a recognized governing body (there are several). Discuss your fears with your surgeon. They may help to calm you. You're not the first patient to express fears. Once you are sure that all is as good as it can be, proceed with confidence.
