Is the recovery time with silicone Breast implants longer then saline?

on the type, technique (subglandular vs submuscular) used and the size of the
implant.

There should be no difference between the implants themselves.  The position, subglandular vs subpectoral, would make a difference, however. But, saline vs silicone should have identical recovery time, healing, and complication rate. Best wishes!

Thank you for your question.  The total recovery is identical for saline versus silicone.  Each patient is unique in their recovery and discomfort but most patients are feeling back to themselves within about a week.

The recovery time is not significantly longer with silicone than saline. The incision does normally require longer entry with ore filled gel than saline implants.

Thanks for your question.  I have not observed a significant difference in recovery time between saline and silicone implants.  Technically saline implants can be inserted through a slightly smaller incision but the rest of the procedure is essentially the same, so the healing should be very similar.

 Recovery time after breast augmentation is not different between saline and silicone implants.    Everyone heals at a different pace.  in my experience 2 to 3 days after surgery is very soon to experience a full recovery 

There is no differenced in recovery time between saline and silicone implants.  However, the recovery time for implants under the muscle is longer than on top of the muscle.  Also, the pain tolerance is different for every individual, some people are just "tougher" than others.Good Luck!
