Does Voluma lift I'm in my early 40s and have some minor marionette lines, when I lift my cheek they disappear. Will voluma lift my face? My doctor suggested it, but I don't know. I did it years ago and didn't notice the lifting. What would fix help this situation?

Answer: Voluma Voluma can absolutely lift your skin. Depending on the severity of the sagging skin and the overall skin quality is to how many syringes you will need. Typically, I treat my patients who are trying to achieve this same outcome in stages. They will then see a gradual change and positive results without looking “done.”

Answer: Yes, Voluma will lift! Voluma is a great product that provides significant lifting when injected appropriately with the correct number of syringes. Every patient is different and requires a different amount of filler in different areas, so it is possible that you just did not have enough product injected to see a noticeable difference. Starting off with a minimum of 2 for the cheeks, up to even 4 syringes is usually appropriate, but again, every patient is very different and it is best to come in for a consult so you face can be appropriately assessed.

Correct placement and technique in the temples and cheeks can help somewhat with marionette lines, especially if they are "minor" like you say, but often times other treatments are required to resolve the concern. However, based on my experience Voluma is best placed in the cheek/mid face area. Usually, adding volume/Voluma to the cheeks does not address other areas of the face. Unless you are using many many syringes of filler. Unfortunately, the more filler you use, the more risk for an unnatural result. Make sure you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss options for your marionette lines. You may want to consider the Y Lift procedure to address both your cheeks and jawline.
