Regret cheek and nasolabial filler. Should I balance it out with more Voluma? (Photo)

Question

I had 1ml of cheek filler underneath my eyes and a small amount in my nasolabial folds. I regret how it has made my face look fatter and more bottom heavy. I think it strangely made my nose look rounder and got rid of the delicate pointy rhythm of my face. I know it's only noticeable to me. If I had more filler more in the cheekbone area, would this balance it out? I just don't want to have to wait 2 years for it to fade or get it dissolved. I mean just 1ml more of filler.

Thanks for your question and the photos you provided. Your face looks normal and I do not see a rounded nose or bottom heavy appearance. Enjoy your results and youth, you do not need additional filler.

Hello, and thank you for your question. In general, placing filler on the lateral aspect of the cheek can help to alleviate heaviness of the nasolabial folds and also provide contouring to the face. This may alleviate some heaviness. Cheek filler is a great option to help the under eye area as well. When working with filler, sometimes it is best to work top to bottom, and lateral to medial, depending on the intended treatment result. I would suggest you consult with a practitioner to better discuss your best treatment options and see if adding more filler or dissolving would be best.

Facial sculpting and contouring can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Countour, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

I am sorry to hear that you haven’t achieved your desired results.  I would advise you to wait a while before you rush in and get more filler. 
1 ml spread between cheeks and NLF isn’t much and I don’t think you will have to wait 2 years before it diminishes.
