2 weeks post-op and developed a dent under one breast, near the scar line. (photos)

Question

Ive just passed 2 weeks post op with 425cc motiva ergonomix implants under the muscle, below the breast incision. After removing my dressing tape over the stitches I've noticed dent, about the size of a finger print on the underside of my right breast. Should I worry? Is the a sign of anything goibg wrong? Or will this fill out with time?

The dent is likely due to an absorbable suture under the skin which has become more apparent as the swelling resolves. Discuss with you surgeon so that they can re assure you that this will resolve in time as the sutures dissolve.

Breast augmentation incisions are usually closed in layers, using absorbable suture. This photograph is probably showing a combination of things between swelling going down, deep sutures, and changes in how the implant sits in its pocket. I would consider that a visit to your plastic surgeon would go far to decrease your concerns.

Hello,Thank you for the question and photos. Deep sutures can cause dents and temporary contour irregularities. I would expect this to resolve somewhat as inflammation resolves and tissues settle. Let your Plastic Surgeon know if you have any ongoing concerns.Take care

For two weeks post op, things look to be healing nicely. The dent is probably just a pull from a deep suture and should improve over time. If it does not, see your surgeon.

Congratulations on your breast augmentation. The dent you see is most likely a deep suture used to close the incision. I expect that it will smooth out as your implants drop. Be sure to discuss this with your surgeon/

I cannot be completely sure from photos without an in-person exam, but that dent looks typical for a dimple from a suture.  It will probably go away when the suture dissolves and the tissues relax.

It's likely a dent or "pucker" from a stitch underneath holding the deep tissue together. These occur frequently and will go away with time. If you are concerned contact your surgeon because they know exactly what they did and can reassure you. Hope this helps
