I did my CoolSculpting 8 days ago on my chin, it looks larger and hangs! Is this normal?

At 8 days, it is not unusual to see this type of issue after Cool Sculpting and Cool Mini. Much of this will likely resolve in the coming weeks to months to give you an improved neck contour. I would recommend you touch base with your Coolsculpting specialist to ensure that there is nothing else to worry about. Happy healing!

Most patients have very little swelling or redness after Cool Mini but it is not uncommon or worrisome if you do experience swelling under the chin for even a few weeks.  Some patients find compression helpful to alleviate this more quickly.  Follow up with the provider that performed your procedure to have them examine the area and determine if something else may helpful for your recovery.  Best of luck!

Thank you for the question.  Swelling or bruising in areas treated with CoolSculpting does occur and can be normal.  This should subside and in the coming weeks and months you'll see your modest improvement.  Do followup with your doctor because in very rare cases this fullness persists and requires further treatment.  All that being said, yes, probably normal at the moment but see your doctor for a follow up.Chase Lay MD

It does take time for swelling to go away.  You can expect the skin to tighten up somewhat as well.  Be patient and reasess weekly.  You should see improvement at 3-4 weeks that will continue to improve.  Second treatments can be done as early as day 30 but I often wait for 8 weeks.

It is very normal to have swelling for several weeks after CoolSculpting. Over the next several days to weeks you will notice the post-treatment swelling slowly resolve.

There can be some swelling after a CoolSculpting procedure that may make it appear as if the area is larger. Give it some time to subside and for results to be seen.
