Dr. Smith is a renowned Board Certified Plastic Surgeon located in Orange County California near the beautiful beach cities of Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, San Clemente, and Dana Point. Dr. Smith is known for his meticulous skills, warm bedside manner, and his commitment to every patient's unique and individual needs. Dr. Smith specializes in all aspects of breast, body, and facial rejuvenation. He is particularly known for his expertise in natural results, body contouring, and facial surgeries that camouflage scars. Dr. Smith is a strong advocate for patient education and quality results. Dr. Smith enjoys planning and performing cosmetic surgery for his patients. When he gives a woman the curves she's always longed for, rejuvenates the appearance of a patient who looks older than they feel or re-contours a weight loss patient's newly trim body, he strives for an experience that is rewarding for both patient and surgeon. One option gaining popularity is the "Mommy Makeover." Dr. Smith works closely with each patient to design the right combination procedure for her, whether it involves breast enhancement to restore pre-childbirth curves, abdominoplasty to tighten up a loose tummy, liposuction to banish stubborn pockets of fat or all three. He specializes in a drainless tummy tuck, striving to make the recovery more manageable for the patient. Dr. Smith received much of his medical training at UCLA – in one of the most well-respected plastic surgery programs in the country – where he served as Chief Resident. His interest in reconstructive surgery was fueled by his participation in a groundbreaking procedure - the separation of conjoined Guatemalan twins. Today, Dr. Smith has a special interest in breast reconstruction, helping women restore their figures and feel good about their bodies again after battling cancer. Beginning with his induction into Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor society for medical students, Dr. Smith has been recognized by many prestigious organizations. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He's a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Orange County Society of Plastic Surgeons and other professional groups. You may be wondering why these boards and organizations matter. The fact is, today there are no regulations that require a doctor performing plastic surgery procedures to have formal training in plastic surgery. Dermatologists, gynecologists and other physicians can and do offer breast augmentation, liposuction and other cosmetic procedures. The American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), with the authorization of the American Board of Medical Specialties, is the only organization that can certify plastic surgeons as trained and qualified to perform cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. When you choose to work with Dr. Smith you are working with an ABPS-certified plastic surgeon, who has been in practice for over 20 years.

I had a abdominoplasty “tummy tuck” with liposuction and a breast lift with Dr.Smith. The experience from start to finish was amazing. My scars have healed beautiful and my stomach is flat and tight. My breast lift enhanced my natural breast tissue, moved my nipples into a better position and made my breast perky and smaller. I can not express my gratitude for an incredible mommy makeover and Dr. Smiths expertise, kindness, and incredible surgical skill!
I thoroughly researched doctors through various search engines and real self. I interviewed 2 in person. Immediately vibes well with Dr. Smith and his staff. Each step of the way I felt heard, supported and amazingly cared for. My surgery went well and I am still recovering so I don't know the final results but I'm confident. I have a follow up in 2 weeks but already told the staff I'm going to miss them. They are amazing people that truly care. So glad to be implant free and it's all thanks to Dr. Smith and his staff. Updated on 26 Oct 2023: I forgot to add in my review that I also got a lift after my implants were removed. Just had my 3rd follow up appt and everything is healing great. I am very happy with everything. I look forward to every appointment.
From the moment I walked into the office I knew I made the right choice. The staff was so attentive and caring. Dr. Smith listened to all my questions and reccomended the perfect outcome to achieve the results I wanted. On the day of my surgery my nurse Hayley guided me every step of the way. I felt so comfortable and at ease. I am two weeks post op from my anchor lift + gummie implants and am so happy I chose Dr. Smith! I reccomend highly and I will refer everyone to Dr. Smith.
After numerous consultations even with "celebrity " surgeons I went with my gut in the end and I couldn't be happier !!! Dr. Smith is amazing. I had 16 year old saline submuscular implants . Left breast had capsular contraction that I've dealt with for years leaving me self conscious. I'm still youngish and was adamant about not having a full lift this time around. Consult after consult the surgeons were trying to push me into a full lift and one even telling me I needed mesh on my left side and it would require two surgeons. After more research I found Dr. Smith in Irvine, ca (where I live) the moment I walked into his office I felt welcome. Every member of his staff is so polite and sweet. I had an amazing consult with the doctor and felt so at ease that we were on the same page as my goals go. Booked my surgery for April 13th and I have ZERO regrets. I ended up doing a bilateral donut lift, implant revision from 420 saline implants to 695 maximum fullness natrelle gummy implants. Updated on 29 Jul 2021: Before surgery. You can see the capsular contraction that formed on my left side Updated on 29 Jul 2021: Some pics to show recovery over the last few months Updated on 29 Jul 2021: Healing is going well Updated on 10 Oct 2021: Updated on 22 Nov 2021: Full body pics to show proportion Updated on 28 Sep 2022: Still very happy with my surgery and size ! They have settled nicely (in my opinion) zero regrets on the size I went with.
In 2015 I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy. Dr. Andrew Smith was my reconstructive surgeon and provided amazing results however I had chosen a texturized teardrop breast implant at the time not knowing 5 years later there were concerns about their viability long-term due to recalls worldwide as they were causing large cell lymphoma. In 2020, I shared my concerns with Dr. Smith and we planned to remove the implants and replace them with Allergan, smooth, round implants. He and his team were caring about my concerns yet forthright about the procedure, post care, etc.I scheduled for December 7th and can honestly share that immediately after my surgery I not only had very little if any pain but the results are amazing. They look like natural breasts, nude and in clothing.More importantly, I had ongoing pain from the initial implants that we couldn't identify even with annual MRI's and with the new implants, no pain. Four months later, no pain, and overall I feel better. It was like my body was telling me it didn't like the original implants even though my recon surgery was without incident, etc.Dr. Smith and his team are not only highly competent but truly work with you to achieve desired results. I always feel like they have my health as their primary concern and aesthetics added in. I would highly recommend them for both breast cancer patients needing reconstruction, women that have texturized implants that are concerned about the recalls, or if you're just not happy with your breasts (natural or augmented) and need a revision.
I first met Dr. Smith when I was 18 and he performed my mother’s breast reconstruction surgery. I knew he was amazing then and it stuck with me! Fast forward...I’m 30 now and it was time for me to get a mommy makeover. 12 years later and I still knew there was no one else I would trust to do this for me other than Dr. Smith. You are greeted with nothing but warmth from each member of the staff each time you’re in the office. Dr. Smith really listens to you! Which is so important when discussing your expectations from your procedure AND he is honest with what is realistic - I left my consultation and pre-op knowing exactly what to expect and he delivered. Dr. Smith performed a tummy tuck, waist liposuction, and breast lift with implants on me. I’m one month post-op and my results are already jaw dropping! I would never recommend any other plastic surgeon to anyone I care about other than Dr. Smith. My amazing results are icing on the cake, Dr. Smith and staff truly take care of you from the very beginning of your surgery journey!
I am currently recovering from a mid face & neck lift, Co2 laser and fat transfer to my cheeks, post- op four days. I feel great, minimal swelling virtually no bruising. I have had no worries knowing I am in excellent hands. If it weren't for the bandages I would be out and about. Here you will find a photo diary of my progress along with suggestions on what I found helpful. Day 1- rest and ice is all you need. Day 2- rest & ice, intermittently throughout the day. lightly washed my face and applied aquaphor 2-3x's a day. No pain. Day 3- got up took a quick bath, removed bandages, washed my face lightly with gentle cleanser, started the vinegar soaks, this helps remove the crust, applied aquaphor lightly to the face and re-wrapped my face. Iced throughout the day. Key point is to keep the nape area of your neck constantly cold, I used the old fashion ice bags for this. Day 4- first day without pain meds, mild discomfort. Quick bath, vinegar soaks, (1 Tbl spoon to 1 cup of water) make ahead of time and keep in the refrigerator in a squeeze bottle, this keeps it cold and is ready to use. I also used a gauze mask and just squeezed the solution directly on my face. Feels fantastic. Applied Aquaphor and re-wrapped my head. Updated on 11 Jan 2020: Updated on 12 Jan 2020: Removed my bandages, washed my face, vinegar soak for 10 minutes. I purchased the “Marena Recovery Compression Chin Strap with Mid-Neck Coverage for Post-op Mask” size Large on Amazon and put it on. The mask is easy to put on and allows for more or less compression, feels great. The mask allows your ears to be exposed and at this point it really feels nice (see video). I continue to use my ESARORA ICE ROLLER, moving upwards to reduce swelling. Updated on 14 Jan 2020: Day 6- staples removed. Came straight home to wash my hair. I am healing nicely, the swelling continues to dissipate. I wear my compression garment around the clock, just ordered a second one . I continue to sleep sitting up. I have started to alternate heat and cold, 20 minutes cold, twenty minutes warm. Vinegar soak 2-3x’s a day. Updated on 14 Jan 2020: I woke up with sinus pressure today, feels like I may be a little more swollen than yesterday. I continue to apply warm and cold compresses. I also applied my pink crystal mask over my compression garment allowing for more compression but more importantly it is perfectly weighted to the sinus area, feels amazing. Wash my face, Vinegar soak 1x today followed with Aquaphor. Updated on 14 Jan 2020: Jewell- here are my before photos Updated on 17 Jan 2020: Most of the stitches are out nd I feel fantastic!!
5 stars do? not adequately express my gratitude for Dr. Smith and his staff. From the beginning, Dr. Smith was caring and sensitive to my needs and concerns. He thoroughly? explained my options and what my particular procedure would entail. He did not push any decisions on me, yet he knew exactly how to help me. Dr. Smith is a truly talented surgeon, and his bedside manner is impeccable. I love his office staff! They are consistently pertinent, sensitive, and happy to see me. Overall, the environment is positive and inviting. They make me feel like family! This entire experience was positive, and I am very happy with my results. My confidence has gone up tremendously, and I can only thank Dr. Smith for this.
Just had my mommy makeover on December 21, 2018. I had my follow up the Saturday after and my shower Christmas Eve. Today is my first day at work and I’m feeling a lot better. I had a Breast augmentation, tummy tuck and lipo. So far so good and loving the results I can’t wait for the final result in a few weeks
I am blown away from my experience with doctor Smith and the staff!!! First of all outstanding customer service, I could call or email and get immediate response!!! I had a problem with one of my breasts and after other doctors failed to help me Dr. Smith performed the surgery with all the necessary steps. The result is amazing, he is the best doctor for sure. I would recommend him to everyone.
A donut lift may leave you feeling like your nipples are in a low position and will not result in the best overall appearance. A mastopexy utilizing the full anchor pattern scar incision will move the nipples into a higher position and help with the shape of the breasts in the lower pole. Food for thought fat grafting can help but over time you will note that the fat may change and have less of an impact after a few years. I utilize fat grafting in my practice but note that many women note changes after a few years even using a Revolve and a good amount of fat. In terms of scaring following your scar protocol can help. Good silicone scar cream, silicone tapes, and certain lasers postoperative can help with the appearance. It appears you have good skin quality.
Addressing excess skin and stretch marks can only be corrected through an abdominoplasty or tummy tuck. If you do non-invasive lipo or liposuction it will leave the skin and will have a less than ideal appearance. A full abdominoplasty can help address the stretch marks and excess tissue and correct diastasis. A quality consult is important
56 is a great age to start thinking about facial rejuvenation procedures, in large part because it will not be such a drastic change that will draw attention. Before proceeding with a facelift you must be taking care of your skin and regular visits with a medical esthetician for facials, and maintenance lasers if you are a candidate, and at an optimal weight. Selecting a surgeon who avoids over pulling and focuses on natural results is important. You may also want to consider Co2 Laser Resurfacing depending on your skin type to help with overall skin quality, texture, wrinkles, and fine lines
An abdominoplasty is a major surgery that will involve correcting diastasis in your abdomen, the muscle separation many woman experience after pregnancy. You will find that coughing after surgery can be really uncomfortable and result in a pulling sensation in your abdomen. It would be prudent to speak with your surgeon and anesthesia team to discuss what medications you can take preop that will not cause blood thinning, and discuss an alternate plan if you are not feeling well. Anesthesia would consider rescheduling if you have an active cough or sound hoarse.
Hi there, the best way to see how much your CoolSculpt procedure will cost is to have a consultation to see how many applicators would be needed to achieve your aesthetic goal. The pricing is nearly the same everywhere. Best, Andrew Smith, MD
