I have had 5 abdominal surgeries, including a colostomy, over the last two years. I had the colostomy surgery in October 2017 and by January my stomach was noticeably larger, hard and has continued to get bigger. It is painful & tightens if I strain by turning etc.. Sometimes it feels like my skin is about to split open on the incision. I went to the E.R. for pain unrelated and they diagnosed this as diastasis rectus but after researching it doesn't sound right to me but I'm not a doctor.
