I have had lipo on abd 4 times .3 tradional and 1 smart. With the last lipo I had fa transfer to buttocks. I told the ps I wanted a muscular butt and by no means was looking for a fat butt or a butt like a woman . Just wanted to look good in jeans . very unhappy wih results .He put to much fat and it looks like Ihave hips. I want to have lipo on abds onelast time nd butt reshaped but he told me that I had a lot of scar tisue inabs due to previous lipo. What are the risk of getting it done again

Answer: Multiple revisions of abdominal liposuction Every time you undergo a revision on procedure, you're scar tissue increases and your risk for postoperative complications due as well. After having so many procedures, I generally find that there's not much more fat to take out and further surgery will only complicate matters. In many cases, after patients have had so many revisions, I end up having to add fat to the area to fix contour depressions and regularities. I think you may want to reconsider the need for another procedure. Be very careful undergoing furtherliposuction in that area. It goes without saying that you must find a board certified plastic surgeon who is an expert in liposuction and it's revision in a case as challenging as yours. Please be careful– There are a lot of less than qualified doctors out there! I wish you the best. Dr. Gabbay.

Answer: it might be time to call it quits after multiple liposuction. Retreating area even wants inflicts a sizable amount of damage for liposuction. Adding laser assisted liposuction induces thermal damage as well. It might be time to leave these areas alone.

Answer: Repeat or revision Liposuction and scar tissue It is not common to have liposuction of the abdomen 4-5 times. We perform a lot of redo or revision liposuction from all over the world. During revision liposuction, there are usually multiple scar tissue from the previous procedure. If you think you need more liposuction, consider discussing wt loss with your doctor. It may be wise to listen to your plastic surgeon. Make sure that you are seeing a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
