4 days post-op. Rash on my lips and sides after Juvederm. Is this normal? Is it an allergic reaction? (photos)

Swelling and/or lumps after lip injections are normal and can last 1-2 weeks. The symptoms you are experiencing aren't a typical attribute of post lip filler injections. I recommend reaching out to the rendering physician for an immediate follow up. Best, Dr. Emer

This could be a herpes simplex infection, although that is usually more painful than itchy.  See your doctor to start the appropriate meds you may need to take to treat this.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs and I see your areas of concern. I would recommend seeing your injector for an in-person evaluation of your lips and the bumps seen as this could be an allergic reaction but other issues such as an infectious breakout need to be ruled out as well.

Thankyou for your question. any rash that looks like a cold sore post filler is considered a vascular occlusion . ( blocked artery).I suggest you go back to your injector asap and have some of the filler dissolved.Good luck

This looks like a cold sore outbreak. You can use products like abreva to help the discomfort and make the healing time quicker or contact your injector to call in a prescription for you. 

Thanks for writing,I would recommend you see your injector as soon as possible, hopefully you injector was a plastic surgeon, an MD. This could be anything form a cold sore virus that is spreading to a atopic dermatitis. You need an evaluation by someone experienced and someone who knows how to treat the problem.
