Though Alli may help you lose weight, it would be important that the lifestyle modifications needed to stay at that weight are in place so that your achieved results remain long-term. Answer: Shouldn't be a problem Ideally, you should be at your minimum weight prior to your surgery. While it is best to get there using diet and exercise, over the counter medications to "help" shouldn't be a problem. However, all medications and supplements, with some exceptions should be stopped prior to your surgery,. 8 month prior to your surgery shouldn't be a problem. I would discuss all medications and supplements with your physician before proceeding, Best of luck.
