Hello I've had a TT done exactly a week ago today. And I think I've had an allergic reaction to the steristrips .. What do I do? And I have low back pain from walking hunched over and suggestions on relieving the pressure from my back?

Answer: Blisters on Incision Site Thank you very much for your question. You may have a sensitivity to the steristrips. I would talk with your surgeon about that possibility. Based on the distribution of the redness, it is unlikely to be an infection, but I would keep a close eye on it.Regarding your lower back pain, I routinely advise my patients to rent a walker for a week for exactly that reason. It supports the lower back while walking. Patients usually laugh at me when I recommend it, but at the end of that first week, are thankful I did.

Answer: Allergic Reaction To SteriStrips Hello and thank you for reaching out. From the photos you have provided, it does seem as if you are experiencing some sort of reaction to possibly the adhesive on the steri strip, but to be sure please follow up with your surgeon so they can take a look at the reaction. As far as the back pain from being hunched over, there are certain medications that might have been prescribed to you that could give you some relief, touch base with your surgeon about the pain you are having as well as the reaction. Best Wishes.
