I got breast augmentation on July 10 I was a cup and got 350cc silicone but they look very small still and they sitting up high. How long will it take for them to drop
Answer: How long until breast implants drop into place? Thank you for your inquiry and photo, congratulations on your surgery. It may take up to 3-6 months to see final results and for swollen to go down, you can massage your breasts to help the implant go down or if your surgeon gave your or recommended a strap band that goes around your breasts on top this is to help implants go into place as well and it is recommended to use daily as much possible. Best of luck!

Answer: How long does it take for implants to drop? Implants take different amounts of time to drop based on how tight your tissues were before the procedure. Usually your breast should look good around 6-8 weeks. However, final result and relaxation may take 4-6 months. Hope this helps. Trey Aquadro, M.D. Auburn, AL

Answer: Breast Augmentation - Post Op Swelling? Thank you for your question. You are still early in the post-operative period. It typically takes 3 - 6 months for the swelling to subside and and implants to settle into proper position. Please discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Also, make sure you follow all of your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions regarding level of physical activity and use of a support bra. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.

Answer: Implant dropping Dear Inclucas125,Dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position. I understand that you are worried about your implants are not dropping as expected. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Answer: How long will it take for my 350cc breast implants to drop? Thank you for sharing your question and photograph and congratulations on your breast augmentation. This soon out from surgery the swelling in your tissues is maintaining your implants high and flat against your chest but as this swelling resolves you should see a more natural shape and contour develop. Though they will not get "bigger" you should see the lower portion fill your bra cup more and more. Hang in there, most of these changes take place 6-8 weeks after surgery.
