Does the actually size of the implant (cc) change the cost?

Hi KNidoff; we do not charge more for implants based on size. However, implant costs do depend on the type and manufacturer; for example, standard saline implants cost less than round silicone and round silicone generally less than shaped ones. The Ideal Implant is saline based but costs roughly the same as silicone. We simply pass on our costs to you regarding breast implants and the complexity of the surgery in establishing a fee. I recommend discussing the trade-offs of implants during your consultation as we do routinely. Each has some advantages and disadvantages. In our practice, although I have used shaped implants for close to two decades, round silicone gel based implants are the most popular. There has also been a lot of interest in the Ideal Implant and our patients have been pleased with this. Pick the one you feel the most comfortable with and remember, it is not all about size. In any style, larger is actually wider. The profile or projection of the implant is determined independent of the width which should fit nicely within you breast. Pick an implant that is going to do the best to enhance your breast shape and provide the best feminine shape for long lasting beautiful results.

surgeon that you use. The cost of a breast augmentation will vary according to
the type (silicone or saline) of implant used, the type of incision/technique,
and any associated procedures, such as a lift or reduction. Many reputable
surgeons’ price will include their fees, the anesthesiologist cost, surgical
center, follow-up visits, and compression garments. I recommend you schedule a
consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss a breast
augmentation and determine the right implant/technique for your needs. At this
time, he/she will explain the exact cost of your desired procedure, as well as
discuss your payment and financing options.

Implant fill material, base dimensions, shape and brand are all factors when it comes to cost for a breast augmentation. Choosing a larger implant would rarely affect the cost unless your surgeon feels that this would make your surgery more difficult to perform. regardless of the size you choose but they may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and style.  So if a surgeon is trying to charge you more for a larger implant made by the same company and of the same style, run away and find an ethical surgeon that will not try to wrangle every cent from you  that  is possible.

There are many different factors that go into choosing a breast implant size which will correspond with your body dimensions while concurrently achieving your aesthetic results. Some of these factors are: Implant size (CC's), Implant profile (Low, Moderate, High), Placement of the implant (Subglandular vs. Dual Plane) etc. We utilize smooth round cohesive silicone gel 'gummy bear' implants for the best results.

During a consultation your aesthetic goals are heard and taken into account with the measurements of your breasts and the integrity of your tissue, as well as level of ptosis (sag). From here we collectively can find your 'perfect fit'. You are able to try out sizers and different implants in our office such that you can get an idea of what size you would be post-operation. In my practice, it doesn't matter what size implant you want, the costs are always the same. That may or may not be true elsewhere so best to ask each doctor you visit.

Breast implants come in a variety of shapes, styles and sizes. Of the three variations, size is the only parameter that does not change the cost of the implant.
