Dear Original7755,Thanks for your question. As long as your back isn't bothering you or causing any issues, andthe area is completely healed with a lot of tissue coverage, getting a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)surgery should be ok. I recommend although that you meet with a qualified, board-certifiedplastic surgeon with BBL experience and thoroughly discuss any concerns or questions youmay have. Make sure that your surgeon is aware of the rods and screws in your back as well sothey can affirm that you're in good health overall and will be able to withstand the recoveryperiod. This will help avoid added or unnecessary discomfort, especially if you still experienceback pain. Best of luck with your procedure!
If you are in good health, you should be a good candidate for liposuction and BBL. I recommend to set an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon for proper evaluation. Thank you for your question. Good Luck.
Thanks for your question.Yes, you can.Take Care,Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeo
I see no reason why would your hardware be a problem for BBL provided that you receive proper antibiotic prophylaxis. We allow our patient to sleep in any position including back, after surgery. Consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in body contouring surgery is recommended. Good luck.
Hi and welcome to our forum!Previous back surgery with rods and screws does not contraindicate the performance of BBL, although if with residual back pain, it may limit your ability to maintain the position of lying on your abdomen in the early postoperative period. Associated medical conditions may affect your ability to tolerate a surgical procedure. In that situation, preoperative medical clearance by your primary care physician may be indicated.Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion.Best wishes...
Dear Original7755,It is hard to tell for sure without an examination, but generally speaking, your spine surgery is not a contraindication for BBL surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well.Your previous surgery does not prevent you from having plastic surgery now. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.Good luck :)
No problem to have a BBL with a previous surgery with screws and rods, the important part is that there is good healthy tissue covering them so that a correct intake of the fat can take place in the area where the fat will be transferes.
I have done a BBL on a few patients that have had back surgery with rods and screws. Each case is individualized and your PS will look through your medical history and make a decision specific to you on whether it is safe to proceed with surgery or if they feel there is any reason your medical history would keep you from being a good or safe candidate for this surgery.
Yes, it is possible to have a BBL in your case. If you are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully,Arian Mowlavi MD,FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
