Hello and thank you for your question. If you are in a good health status otherwise and you have well-controlled diabetes, you should still be able to have the BBL. Iwould seek consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a fullevaluation and advice. Best,PejmanAflaki, M.D.JohnsHopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon
Hello and Great Question. I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure. My name is Dr. Matthew J. Nykiel. I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, and a Butt Augmentation SpecialistBeing a Candidate for a bbl procedure while being diabetic would depend on your clinical state as well as your blood sugar and A1C levels being well controlled. Liver function would also have to be normal etc. I would suggest consulting with your primary care doctor for medical clearance prior to consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure and who can give you an in person examination and answer any questions you may have.I hope that helps! Best of Luck!
Hi and welcome to our forum!Your candidacy for BBL will depend upon your clinical state. If otherwise healthy, and if your blood sugars and A1C are well controlled, and if your liver function is relatively normal, you would be considered suitable. Preoperative evaluation, clearance, and recommendations are required from your primary care physician and / or endocrinologist to ensure safety.Your surgeon and anesthesiologist must be made aware of your clinical state as well as all of the medications you are taking (including over the counter).Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for in-person evaluation and discussion.Best wishes...
You need to clarify this with your board certified plastic surgeon as this will depend upon degree of elevation and potential causes. The health of your liver will need to be assessed before surgery is considered. Non-surgical solutions such as diets, exercise and changing lifestyle are recommended as first priority before considering other options for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). If you are otherwise healthy with a BMI close to 30, a slightly elevated cholesterol may not present much of an issue in regard to moving forward. If your blood sugars are well controlled, you may be a great candidate for the BBL. Your risk may be slightly higher, but I have performed this procedure safely in well-controlled diabetics.
Dear luz cruz,As long as your conditions are under control, you might be a candidate for a surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
