I have never done this type of surgery on patient with active colostomy. There is a possibility of contamination of operative areas in the course of liposuction and fat transfer which may create serious condition from local infection to sepsis, in worse case scenario? I would suggest to wait for reversal of colostomy, before doing elective surgery as BBL. Good luck.
If you are in good health, you should be a good candidate for a BBL. Fat can be taken from many different areas (abdomen, sides, back, bra rolls, thighs, arms, etc) depending upon the areas of excess and what your goals may be. Most patients get an immense benefit with maximal liposuction of the abdomen, sides, and back to obtain the smallest waist possible and then maximal fat transfer to the buttocks and hips. The goal is to transfer fat from areas where you find it displeasing to areas in which you would like more volume.
Dear shesherrrr,It is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Assuming that there is no medical contraindication related to your Crohn's disease then Liposuction with avoidance of suctioning in the abdominal region would be a possibility provided your surgeon felt that contamination could be avoided. Best of Luck Dr Harrell
Thanks for writing,There are so many thing you didn't tell us. Are you on immunosuppression? Have you fistulas? Have you had bowl obstructions? Have you had multiple abdominal surgeries? What is your nutritional status? There are concerns of cross contamination, which can be a huge problem. And the list goes on. I would find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area, get a consult and see what he / she thinks.Stephen M. Yes, but you can't lipo the front, only the back.If you are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully,Arian Mowlavi MD,FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
Based on this photo, you seem to be a good candidate for BBL. I do not think that you need to gain additional weight to achieve good result. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in this type of surgery is recommended. Good luck.
