Is Sculptra a safe type of filler for face?

Sculptra has been used for years on the face and is a safe filler.  There are risks with any filler treatment and this is true of Sculptra as well.  Bruising or swelling can be temporary side effects and it is possible to get bumps or irregularities in the treated area.  Lumps or bumps are rare though and can be related to the injection technique.

Yes, Sculptra is Poly L Lactic acid and is very safe for facial use. It has been used in US for about thirteen years. It requires multiple treatments.  Patients need approximately one bottle per decade, and usually two to four sessions are done on a monthly basis. It's first indication was for lipo atrophy in HIV patients so does give a very nice result for facial filling. However, it does have its limitations and often times multiple fillers may be needed to achieve best results.
