At Etre, Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser Center in New Orleans, Dr. Kyle Coleman envisioned providing the highest level of cosmetic service paired with exceptional customer service. Dr. Coleman is an expert and international speaker in non- and minimally invasive cosmetic techniques.
Dr Coleman did laser lipo on my arms, abdomen, and bra line. He also repaired “dog ears” left from another surgery I had with another doctor. I also had Morpheus8 done on my jaw line and under my chin. I have had several surgeries and meet several doctors over the years. Dr Coleman and his staff are beyond nice, knowledgeable, helpful, and the best. I drove from Fort Worth to New Orleans and will continue to drive for the service I received with he and his staff.
I love Dr. Coleman. Their office is beautiful and comfortable. He explains all the procedures well, is gentle, and never tries to bully into something you don’t need. They strive to give you natural looking results. Prices are fair, highly recommend this practice. I’ve been a patient for 3 years.
The experience from beginning to end with Dr. Coleman was wonderful. I have actually recommended about 8 people to him who have already booked. I received smart lipo to my upper/lower abdomen, flanks, waist, and bra area with fat transfer to lateral buttock for hip projection. I am so far satisfied. 2 days post op and I am sore but its getting better. The whole staff was wonderful. Great experience.
I just recent had laser lipo done by Dr. Coleman. I would like to say on down to the staff they made me feel very comfortable and answer any and every question I had in which I had a million! My produce took about 5 hours and I thought I was gonna be painful but be it or not it wasn’t he talk to me thru the whole produce and if I felt anything that I was suppose to feel he stop immediately and numb that. Area. I am just a little sore but that’s normal. I can’t wait to see my results... hands down he is the best and not mention the clinic is very clean!
A little about me. I am a 27 years old male, and have always been relatively fit. My entire life, I’ve been able to work out, exercise and build great muscle in my arms, legs and chest. My only problem has always been my stomach/abs area. I thought by dieting, I would easily get rid of the unwanted belly-fat. However, even after I lost weight, I never lost much of anything in my abdomen. Just in EVERY OTHER area of my body! I tried EVERYTHING! Yes, that means greens only diet (as long as I could last without fainting), Naked Juice only diet, cutting back on this and that. It was a frustrating battle because quiet frankly I loved my weight, but hated that I could not rid myself of my belly-fat. I always “LOOKED FULL.” Even when I was freaking hungry and hadn’t eaten. CoolSculpting (Non-Invasive Route First!) Last year, I tried CoolSculpting with Dr. Coleman at Etre Dermatology New Orleans. I wrote a separate review, but I’ll flatly recommend to NOT do it. I did not see any results and quite frankly the recovery was EXTREMELY PAINFUL. My nerve endings were going haywire from having had been frozen. I’d never experienced so much pain in my life to where I could not sleep for more than 10 minutes at a time for 3-4 days. Once I’d gotten steroid shots from Dr. Coleman, the pain went away. I should have called the doctor earlier to get meds, so I’ll fault myself. I was promised better results over time, but as I hit 5 months, then 6 months, then 7 months, I was like doc, I still look the same but my pockets are $600 slimmer. They recommended I do Laser Liposuction. NOTE: I was told that I’d get a referral discount (10%) being that I recommended another patient to the office who immediately got liposuction. I got nothing. I moreover expected some type of commensurate discount for not having seen any results for the CoolSculpting…What I got was $2 off what my referral paid for her Liposuction. I am not joking and can prove this easily by uploading our quote papers, but I wont. This was a HUGE point of discontent with me. Nonetheless, I trusted the doctor and his skills after having seen the results from my referral. LaserLipo (Time to Dig In) WHAT I GOT DONE: Upper & Lower Abdomen Chests Flanks/ Love Handles After having felt robbed of my money but not of any fat from the CoolSculpting, I finally convinced myself to do the liposuction. I went in yesterday. This was my experience. Woke up at 8:00AM. And took the prescribed dose of Lorazepam. This apparently makes you relaxed and is like a valium. Boy did it make me chill! I made it to the doctors office and they began taking before pictures and measured my weight. Thereafter, I was led to the operating table and made to put on a garment. The nurse, Tammy, is a COMPLETE SWEETHEART! She saw how nervous I was and was constantly rubbing my shoulders and telling me how to breath, what was going on etc. Dr. Coleman cleaned up the area, and began his markings of where he was going to do the incisions and remove fat. I received numbing injections right above my pubic area on each side and on the side of my chests (to suction out the man-boobs!!). Here are my pain measurements of the LipoSuction procedure. “Hey-Hey’s” are when he tried to liposuction an area that wasn’t quite numb yet. Which Dr. Coleman immediately stops suctioning and reinserts the Tumescent Cannula to numb area. Then begins liposuction-ing again. My skin was exceptionally tight so the tumescent didn’t reach every inch as it would in larger people. ON SCALE OF 1-10 (10 being the worst pain) Markup with marker: 0 Numbing injections: 1.5 Cannula Incisions(cuts where the tube goes in): 0 Tumescent Insertion Cannula Numbing(this stings/burns): 3 LipoSuction-ing with Cannulas: 0.5 “Hey-Heys!”(had about 3 of those): 3.5 Post-Liposuction Pain(right after): 0 Post-Liposuction Pain(after numbing wears off): 2.5 without meds I WAS NOT given the laser skin tightening part of the procedure. As my skin was already tight, Dr. Coleman said it would inflame my skin more and/or make it extremely stiff. I accepted his recommendation not to. I was sent on my way with pain medicine and wrapped in 2 compression garments. One for my chest and one for my abs. It is now 24 Hours later and BOY AM I PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS! I’m not taking the Hydrocodone for pain, but simple Alieve/Advil works just fine and keeps the post-op pain at 1. Now all of my friends want to go to him. I gave them his contact information, but forewarned, get a referral discount in writing as part of the quote up front. Lol In all, I expected way more pain as I lay here on my stomach typing this some 23 hours later. The team at Etre Cosmetic Dermatology is amazing, the ambiance of the office is spectacular and Dr. Coleman and Nurse Tammy did a wonderful job. Pics attached. I'll add more a week from now, then 2 weeks, then a month, then 3 months. I recommend them for Laser Liposuction for sure!!
Experience was great. I went to Dr. Coleman last year in July to do CoolSculpting. The staff was very professional, and detail oriented. Dr. Coleman was very polite and straight up with his responses to my questions which I appreciated deeply. Although the CoolSculpting did nothing for me results-wise (machine vs. my stomach and nothing physical from the doctor himself), my overall experience was great. I am going in for Laser Liposuction tomorrow. I'll be writing a separate and detailed review about this experience and the results he's promised. Hopefully he will deliver.
I have been working out and meal prepping to get fit. Then I changed location with my job. It was an hour out of the way which made it harder for me to workout, meal prep, and entertain my child. So I thought maybe I can use a jump start. I went through 6 consultations and Dr. Coleman was best fit for me. The others pretty much almost scared me out of wanting to have it done. Updated on 22 Dec 2016: Updated on 28 Dec 2016: I'm still swollen. I look pregnant. I don't know yet how much longer until the swelling goes down. I'll see him on Friday
Dr Coleman performed liposuction of my abdomen, chest, flanks, and pubic area 5 days ago. So far so good -- I've had minimal bruising and zero pain (just soreness similar to a hard workout soreness for 2.5 days) and hope to report in a couple of months about my post surgical results. I write so soon to compliment Dr. Coleman and his nurse Tammy for their continued professionalism. The procedure was performed in his office (which is so outrageously gorgeous it's worth making an appointment just to tour). Dr. Coleman personally administered the tumescent fluid once my Ativan had kicked in, waited 20 minutes for the local to take effect, and then spent 1.5 hours performing the lipo. I was perfectly comfortable enough during the procedure to chat with Dr Coleman as if it were over a cup of coffee (while his nurse Tammy patted my shoulder which was super nice but actually unnecessary given the ease of the procedure). The procedure was performed on a Friday. Dr Coleman called me that night to check on me and responded to me via text about a question I had about my compression garment. But for the need for the compression garment, I would much prefer to go through this again then getting my teeth cleaned -- it was literally that easy. This is not the first time I've been to Dr. Coleman and I found the same professionalism and expertise in his administering fillers and Botox. I've watched lots of friends go through med school and have always found it slightly perverted that only the tippy top of the class can get into dermatology while essentially anyone can go into emergency medicine, pediatrics residencies, etc, such that the most brilliant physicians among us are dermatologists. Social commentary aside, Dr Coleman is a perfect example and in this city with a bounty of talented cosmetic dermatologists, I've found my favorite. Thanks again.
I have had liposuction of the inner and outer thighs and the arms with Dr. Coleman. The inner thighs were a fix from a previous liposuction procedure. It has been two years since I the outer thighs were done and a year since the arms and inner thighs were done and I am still very pleased with my results. The inner thighs needed a fat transfer because they were initially over-suctioned in a few areas, and after the swelling went away, the treated areas feel perfectly normal and are natural-looking.
Dr. Coleman and his staff has a pleasant and friendly environment. Dr Coleman a really nice Dr. He always greet you with a big smile . Before your surgery he will be very informative with the procedure you are getting. During my procedure Dr Coleman and nurse Tammy made me feel really comfortable and if there were any discomforts he stop right away and added more medicine. After my Surgery he gave me his personal cell number to call if I had any complications. He Checked me 2 days after surgery to make sure I was healing properly. I would recommend him at any time. If you are thinking of cosmetic surgery give him a call.
If you are having general anesthesia liposuction, generally, make up is not going to be advised. With tumescent or local anesthesia, it is probably ok. However, you aren't going to be going to lunch right after surgery anyway. So, best to be all natural anyway. Best of luck.
Liposuction of the knees can safely be performed after a knee replacement as long as all the swelling from the surgery has subsided. Usually, a year would be sufficient in most cases as long as there has been no complications with the healing of the replacement. Best of luck.
Ultherapy is a non-invasive skin tightening device that can lift and tighten skin. Skin tightening devices can be a great adjunct to injectables and skin care for any anti-aging regimen. Combination treatments that target different signs of aging tend to have a greater effect than when done alone. There is no risk to doing the treatments and in fact there can be a great benefit. Best of luck.
Vbeam works well for redness from blood vessels. However, the way the laser fires would not be good for a scar under a tattoo as the vbeam could pick up color in the tattoo and cause blistering or a burn. If the scar is raised, possibly an injection of steroid could work. Non-ablative lasers that don't attract color like the fraxel could be used as well. But I would avoid using a pulsed dye laser over a tattoo. Best of luck.
Liposuction alone is usually not a solution for lower abdomen laxity after children. Although removing the fat can improve the contour, the laxity is usually unaffected. Combining a laser or radiofrequency treatment under the skin can improve the texture. For patients that don't want to undergo tummy tucks this can be a good option. Although not as tight after as a surgery, the improvement can be dramatic especially if combined with external tightening devices after the liposuction procedure. Best of luck.
