My nose is very big and disproportionate to my face the pictures says it all,I am determined to do something about it and I need to know what should i expect realistically in a rhinoplasty i suspect my skin is somewhat thick plus an oily nose! thanks in advance
Answer: No such thing as a nose too big for Rhinoplasty While your nose may be too big for your face, there is no specific limit to how much of a size reduction you can make with Rhinoplasty. From the submitted photos, you tip is ptotic and overprojected. Cartilage shortening in the tip is a must to deproject the nose. The bridge can be made to balance off the tip in a way that is still proportional.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Candidate Rhinoplasty to address the size and shape of your nose should help you address your concerns. You have to understand that there is no such thing as the “perfect” nose. As rhinoplasty surgeons, we are able to improve the structure and function of the nose to address specific issues you have with how your nose looks and and how well you can breathe. Perfect symmetry does not exist in nature. Attempts to improve the symmetry of your nose should be aimed at achieving an improvement in your asymmetry to the point where it is no longer very noticeable. If you look carefully enough, you will always be able to find imperfections. The goal is a normal looking nose that is in harmony with the rest of your anatomy.

Answer: You can get a large improvement even on a nose with thick skin, no pun intended You have visibly oily skin but it does not appear to be very thick. I feel that you can get a significant improvement in the overall size of your nose and still look natural. You should see an expert in rhinoplasty for a personal examination. You have one nose and should do it right the first time.

Answer: Rhinoplasty for Men A rhinoplasty could help bring your facial features into proportion. You can realistically expect a nose with a neat, straight line from takeoff (opposite the blink crease) to tip, no bump, and less projection, while still keeping a masculine nose that looks appropriate to your face. My best advise is to seek a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty.

Answer: Male rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. From the excellent photographs you provided it appears that you have a large dorsal hump and a high radix. You nose may also be a little too long for your face. You can expect to have this altered in a reliable way and achieve improvement while keeping things natural.
