Often times when a patient is looking to augment their nasal bridge a number of options are available to do so.  One such option is the use of diced cartilage, either septal or auricular, which is wrapped in fascia, a thin layer of connective tissue harvested from the temple scalp.  The DCF rhinoplasty provides a smooth and natural feel to areas of the nasal dorsum that require augmentation.

This is a technique that is helpful to augment the nasal dorsum in a reliable manner by putting small pieces of cartilage in a wrap of soft tissue fascia, like a burrito. It is one of the many tools that we can use, but there are many ways of achieving the same goal.
