Hi and thank you in advance for you help. Yesterday I've done the cellfina. At the end when it came to bandage me the 2 nurses only bandaged the lower part of my thigh. Nothing on the area that was treated. All they did is put gauz for and an adult diaper for the bleeding. All I did was put all a very tight leggings 1. Is it normal to not have bandages on the treated are, only gauz 2.Am I supposed to leave the spanks all night 3.already started seeing results.is it because its swallen?
Answer: Dressing/care after Cellfina Hello, Every physician will have a different postoperative care plan for his or her patients. I have heard of some physicians using adult diapers to catch the expected drainage after having been treated with Cellfina. We typically place sterile ABD pads over the treated areas, wrap with mesh panties/stockings to keep those in place, then place spanks over all of that. Drainage typically stops after 12-24 hours, at which point spanks without gauze can be worn 24/7 for about 2 weeks then during the day time for another 2 weeks. You are already seeing results because the treatment works AND you are swollen. This is a key difference between Cellfina and some of the other cellulite treatments that are available. A lot of other advertised "treatments" for cellulite say it the results last about 2-3 months. That's because significant edema can take that long to stabilize and go away. When the swelling resolves, the unchanged skin dimples present themselves again. The distinction of Cellfina is that when the swelling goes away, the area is typically still smooth and stays that way. So, yes you are swollen, which is contributing to your smoothness in that area, but your results should be expected to last for at least three years based on the currently available data. Congratulations on getting rid of one of the most bothersome skin issues that most women are currently facing!

Answer: Cellfina After Care Thank you for your question. Each physician will have their own protocol for care after treatment. I have found with my patients that when we apply Reston foam to the area and then cover with a compression garment (garments typically used after liposuction surgery procedures and purchased from a medical supplier, not over the counter Spanx), bruising is minimal to none. The entire area that has been treated may have foam over it and then a compression garment on top of that. It would be best to wear your compression garment as much as possible for up to two weeks. You will see results immediately because Cellfina cuts the septae band (the band that connects the dermis to the underlying tissue) and therefore releases that tension that previously created the dimple. Swelling is normal after Cellfina but is greatly reduced with equalization of pressure from foam and a surgical compression garment. It would be best to first consult with your board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who performed your treatment if you still have concerns.

Answer: Cellfina dressing Following a Cellfina treatment, we typically dress the area with sterile ABD pads which are then covered with a compression garment similar to spanx (or surgical compression garment is acceptable) to keep pressure on the treated area and hold the pads in place. The ABD pads are used simply to collect drainage to keep the area as clean and dry as possible. We recommend pads for the first 12-24 hours, and continuing the compression garment for 2 weeks following your procedure. However, we always recommend that you follow the instructions of your provider for optimal outcomes.

Answer: Cellfina The treatment works and can be seen quickly once the swelling subsides. Fluid will drain for a few days and then subside depending on the number of treatment areas.

Answer: Cellfina aftercare It is appropriate to place gauze on the treated areas. This is because there is some leakage and these need to be changed a couple times before the morning. There will be some swelling immediately and there is some tumescent fluid that needs to be absorbed. Give it a week to 2 to start seeing the results although the company says about 3-4 days. Wear Spanks for a couple weeks or per your docs recommendations.
