My dermafill treatment was very painful, particularly on the left side.

It is not common for nerve injury to cause pain in multiple areas. Also, it is unlikely for cannulas to cause injury to nerves. I advise you to have this evaluated right away. Best of Luck!

Please follow up with your physician to examine the area and discuss possible causes for this issue.  It is very unusual for filler to cause this much discomfort.

The symptoms you are experiencing are not typical after receiving fillers.  I encourage you to return to your doctor to discuss the pain and evaluate where it could be stemming from.  In addition to the pain be aware of other signs of infection such as fever or redness at the site of the pain.

This would definitely qualify as more pain than what is typical following a treatment such as this.  Given a cannula was used there is even lower risk of tissue and nerve damage, making this unusual.  I strongly recommend you discuss this with your injector and see about getting evaluated for the root cause of these problems. This is no normal and needs more evaluation. I would say it is either infection or nerve injury. It would be unusual for nerve injury to be bilateral and for it to cause pain in multiple areas. Also, cannulas are less likely to injure nerves when compared to needles but it is possible. If you are not getting the answers you need, seek another opinion, sooner rather than later. I don't know why blood work was done.
