This is most likely swelling and will resolve in 1-2 weeks. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. It is too early to determine what your final results will look like. It takes up 2 weeks for all swelling and bruising to resolve. You can ice your lips to help reduce the swelling. If after 2 weeks you are not happy with your results you can have the filler dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Best of Luck!

I would wait at least 2 weeks for all swelling to resolve in order to determine what your final outcome will be. If you are still unhappy with your results, you can return to your injector and have some of the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase. 

It appears from the photo that your lips are still swollen from the injections.  I would wait two more weeks to assess the lips and see the final result before you decide if you like the results.  Best, Dr. Green

Lip augmentation is a procedure where the lips are injected with filler to improve symmetry, volume, or shape.The lip are is different from the rest of the face, due to the reactive swelling just from being poked. I would advise to hold off on any judgement calls or touch-ups until the lips have settled down at 2 weeks. I recommend a conservative approach to lips as overfilled lips look obviously fake. Hello littleone1435,Thank you for sharing your question and photos. It is still very early to truly give you reliable advice regarding your question. I would wait until two weeks after the injection and have an in person follow up appt. with your injector to discuss any concerns with overfilling. This is a very personal and subjective perspective thus if you feel they are overfilled then dissolving the Juvederm with hyaluronidase should alleviate your concerns. This can also serve as a guide in the future as to how much filler you may want to place at any given setting. 

This is a good question and only time will tell. Also, it has to do with personal preference. I would wait it out til about 10 days after the injection. This is what the lips will be like for the next several months. Rarely steroids are used to reduce the swelling faster.

I'm sorry you are having concerns.  Unfortunately it's too early to tell how your results will be as swelling and bruising can last up to 2 weeks.  If after that time you feel that you have too much volume to your lips you can consider having hyaluronidase injected to dissolve the Juvederm.

I would wait at least 2 weeks after placing filler to determine the difference between filler and swelling.  At this point a fair amount of what you are seeing is likely a side effect and not the final result.  If you are still concerned after 2 weeks please follow up with your injector.

Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs.  Sorry that you are having some concerns about your postprocedure appearance.  Swelling and possibly bruising is very common after Juvederm injection, especially in the lips.  Icing is beneficial for up to 48 hours after the procedure.  Arnica is also helpful for minimizing normal postprocedure swelling and bruising.  Please keep in mind that it will take 2 weeks to allow for normal postprocedure swelling and bruising to resolve and to see your final result.  At that point, if you continue to have any concerns, please be sure to see your injector for an in-person reevaluation in order to determine the best course of action.  Any unwanted filler can be easily removed with Vitrase.  Hope this helps and best wishes!
