Juvederm is made from hyaluronic acid, by a company called Allergan. It creates facial volume and fullness and can be used to augment cheeks and lips or minimize lines and wrinkles. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Juvederm is manufactured by the company Allergan, who also make Botox.  It is non-animal derived and in performing 10's of thousands of filler sessions, I have yet to see a patient allergic to it.  Depending on the product and where it is placed in the face, duration ranges from 4 months to a few years.Best of luck!

I use a great deal of Juvederm for non-surgical rejuvenation due to the fact that it's made of a naturally occurring substance already found in the skin, which is hyaluronic acid. Overtime, it does break down and can be dissolved is for any reason a patient is unhappy. While the product is safe, it's very important to see someone experienced for Juvederm treatments to ensure it's being injected properly and that you'll be satisfied with your results.
