I’m 5’4 190 pounds mom of 7 full term babies, oldest being 13 youngest 10 months. I’ve always been 170-175 pounds since 18 years old I’m 31. My last pregnancy I reached 235 pounds I’ve lost 45 pounds I’m content with my weight and was looking to have a tummy tuck due to my abdominal being longer and flabby. I’m not looking for a total flat stomach but just tightening I would like my stomach to match my body. Could I just get a tummy tuck or would I need lipo too if so on what areas of the body?
Answer: Mom of seven From your photo you would benefit from a full tummy tuck with liposuction for contouring. This would remove excess fat and skin as well as correct abdominal wall laxity. The result will be a tighter flatter tummy. The liposuction would enhance your curves.

Answer: Tummy Tuck with Liposuction or Without? Thank you for your question regarding what to do with your abdomen after seven full-term babies and weighing approximately 190 pounds. I would definitely suggest a full tummy tuck. During your full tummy tuck or abdominoplasty, an incision is made in your lower abdomen. If you have a C-section scar, the incision is made just underneath the C-section scar. During your tummy tuck, the rectus abdominous or six-pack muscle will be repaired. The excess skin and fat from the belly button to the top of the pubic region would be removed, and your abdomen would be flat. In the whole tummy tuck procedure, you also get a new belly button and a pubic lift and reduction. I do not necessarily think you need liposuction. If you want more of a snatched waistline or removal of fat from the hip or saddlebag region, you may consider liposuction. However, in your case, I think the tummy tuck will be enough. Liposuction would be icing on the cake if you wanted further areas to be reduced. Please seek an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon who is experienced in tummy tucks. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. Answer: Tummy tuck You appear to be a great candidate for a tummy tuck procedure, but I would also suggest liposuction to your flanks and back to really cinch in your waistline. Discuss your options with a board certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck!

Answer: Tummy tuck with mesh If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Tummy tuck Dear Gregarious228972, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
