My PS recommend regular tummy tuck with no muscle repair because I’m 22 and plan on having kids in the future (around 28+). would I be okay without MR? And do I need to lose more weight/is this more fat than loose skin? 5’3 155 pounds. Thanks in advance

Answer: Considering options You should not need muscle repair if you have not yet had children. Be advised you may need to have your tummy tuck revised once you have finished your family. Based on the information provided you can proceed with surgery without the need for weight loss. However if you intend to lose weight it is better to do so prior to surgery so that your surgeon can maximize your results.

Answer: Tummy tuck If you are planning future pregnancies then your tummy tuck may be damaged and you may want to wait until you are done having children. You do have hanging skin and a tummy tuck will get rid of this. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
