I’m 6.2 about 175 pounds and I would like to remove the hump on my nose the nasal droop and just make my nose a bit smaller

Thank you for your pictures. You are a good candidate for a Rhinoplasty surgery. We can definitely reduce the size of your nose while removing the bump, correct the drooping and still maintain its masculinity at the same time
The price quote for your surgery is $3000. This price includes consultation, surgery, one night hospital stay, all related bloodwork, anesthesiologist visit and medications after the surgery. We do offer a hotel and transfer package for an extra $500. This includes 5 night hotel stay and all transfers to and from the airport, hospital and our office.
If you decide to proceed with the surgery, we would like you to meet us at our office the day before your surgery for your consultation where I will discuss your expectations and complaints with you. Consultation does not have a set time. I will spend as much time as you need with you.
Rhinoplasty and deviation surgeries can be done at the same time. Your surgery will be performed using the newest technology called Piezo Technique, therefore your process will be very comfortable. Following consultation, examination and potential CT scans it would be worthwhile considering open tip rhinoplasty surgery to address your nasal tip droop, create a supra tip break and to undertake the dorsal hump reduction.
The aesthetic outcome can produce a smaller nose which is less projected.
I would recommend clinical review by a surgeon qualified and experienced in rhinoplasty surgery so that a management plan can be tailored to your specific anatomy and aesthetic goals.

What type of rhinoplasty is suitable for you? You seem to have a small dorsal hump and a slightly bulbous tip. Your nose is not that large, particularly for a male. The particular technique depends more on the experience of the surgeon then on the kind of nose you have. Some surgeons are more comfortable with closed rhinoplasty, while others are comfortable with open. These are the two major variations on the technique. Whichever technique is employed the end result would be similar. The key thing is not to overdo it since your nose is not that big to begin with. And a male nose is better slightly larger than slightly too small.

As a board certified plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of rhinoplasties a year, I correct issues like yours quite frequently, and in fact, your configuration closely resembles a patient whose splint I just removed only yesterday! I don’t really categorize rhinoplasty surgery into “types” because every single patient has a different configuration. I have even operated on identical twins whose noses are subtly different! We could accomplish the removal of the hump, the downturned tip, and we could make the size just a bit smaller, but not too much to detract from your masculine profile. With my male rhinoplasty patients, preserving this male aesthetic is key to a good result. In terms of cost, I see that you are on the East Coast. As a general rule (there are always exceptions), you will find the most experienced in NYC because the volume of surgery is higher, thereby providing surgeons a larger practice and over the years, more experience. Prices in NYC span a tremendous range, with some younger surgeons charging in the $8,000 range, while others in the $40,000 range. I suggest that you schedule some in-person consultations rather than virtual, because it’s vital that the surgeon examines you in a three-dimensional “real life” environment. Bring all of your questions to the consultation, which should only conclude after you have had each and every one of your questions answered. Surgery is serious business, and warrants a thorough consultation with an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon.
