Is this a mid vault collapse or something else?

You actually have very nice result. If you are having breathing problems it may be something simple to correct like an enlarged turbinate. More likely than internal valve collapse

Thanks for your question. If you are only 8 months post op, I would recommend waiting until 1 year before making any assessment of your surgical result. Your nose skin and soft tissue is healing daily and what you see today likely will not be present at your 1 year post operative time mark. I recommend you continue following up with your surgeon regularly and discuss your concerns openly.

Healing after rhinoplasty takes a long time... The nasal skeleton was dissected free from overlying skin and the bones were then fractured. It takes 12-18 months for healing to occur. During the interim, swelling may distort appearance.
From your photos, I note that the nasion is midline, the tip is moderately well defined (although still probably swollen), the nostrils are symmetric, residual lateral fullness is noted at the lower 1/3 of the nose, as expected
The nasal tip is notorious for taking the longest time to heal.
Be patient! You must heal and see the final result before contemplating revision....
